Re: The new F & P Solo nasal pillow mask & F & P Nova Micro mask

I've been using the Nova Micro for about a month now and I love it. I have virtually no leaks, and don't wake up with strap marks :) . The headgear seems flimsy since it's so thin and light, but it seems retain it's shape the stretch. I wash the pillow every morning and the headgear every week. 5 we...

Re: F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillow Mask

Thanks to you both for your thoughts on the Nova Micro. I hope they are available to those of us in the US soon! I'm a P10 user and would love an alternative.

Re: Holiday/Vacation Usage Importance & Cleaning......

Absolutely take it. Always. Do you want to feel crappy for the three weeks you are gone? Plus if you are new and still in your compliance period, three weeks will mess up your numbers. We went on vacation one week into my therapy and taking it was no big deal. Wipe your mask off with a wet washcloth...

Re: Finally....

That's great news!!

I clean my stuff on Sundays unless I don't because of other stuff going on. Then I do Saturday or Monday. Since I have asthma, I try to be diligent with what I'm breathing and this is the one thing I can control. :)

Yes, I'm experiencing intermittent issues. It's fine then it's not. Pages are also loading very slowly.

Re: Nasal Irrigation

I've used my Neti pot daily for years. I use Ancient Secrets Nasal Cleaning Salts and the little spoon that came with the pot - nothing fancy or prepackaged. If my allergies are really bad, or if I have a rare cold, I'll use it 2-3 times a day. I think it works great.

Re: Any way to make a heavy climate-control hose less awkward?

You might get some CPAP tube clips (check Amazon) that secure the hose to the top corner of your mattress (sheet). That will hold it so you can thread it under your pillow and have it move less. I did that before rigging it to drape over my headboard.

I wear an N30, a P10 or Dreamwear cushion. Hose management helps me.

Re: Mask and headgear for small head

I have a fairly small head and use the ResMed Airfit N30. The straps are very adjustable and the nasal cushion is very soft. Although I wear the small cushion with the Dreamwear (and small frame with padding on the top and sides) the medium N30 cushion fits! I guess they run small. I also tried the ...

Re: Cpap altitude adjustment

I also live at low altitude but was in Colorado at 9,000 ft. for a few days. My machine seemed to make all the adjustments needed and my AHIs were pretty normal. I did have trouble breathing in general (also asthmatic) but sleep was great. Go figure.

for some reason, this made me picture your extension cord plugged in at home with the other end spooling behind your car.

Re: CPAP Friendly Hotels

I mostly travel by car and carry a long extension cord. Last week's (business) stay was in a Best Western Inn and Suites. I was in a suite and had to run my extension cord to the other side of the room to use my CPAP. Yes, there were outlets in the lamps, but the plugs were so loose I was afraid of ...
