Re: Tests For Shallow Breathing
Some days I'm fine and I have good energy all day. Other days I wake up with some brain fog and not a ton of energy, other days I'm fine until 5 pm and then run out of energy and have mild brain fog. I swear it's sleep. One thing that's weird is I traveled to the Maldives - a 12 hour time zone chang...

Re: Tests For Shallow Breathing
My ENT has done hundreds of sleep endoscopies and my breathing was the most shallow of any he has ever done. Also if I close my eyes (without sleeping) for 10 minutes I get a headache that can last for hours. I've noticed during these times my breathing becomes more shallow. Regular cpap or bipap do...

Tests For Shallow Breathing
Hello. During a sleep endoscopy my ENT found extremely shallow breathing while I was sleeping. Regular PAP therapy for years was rarely sufficient. AVAPS helps a lot more, But I set up the device myself and it probably is not calibrated right. Are there any sleep studies, or other studies, that can ...

Re: Correct settings for AVAPS?
So I'm not sure what to do about the shallow breathing other than to treat it with a noninvasive ventilator. cpap and autoASV I don't believe were treating it sufficiently (I couldn't wake up consistently with energy and over the past week I have felt far better with the avaps). Changing the pressur...

Re: Correct settings for AVAPS?
I have shallow breathing and sleep apnea. I'm not surprised the settings don't make sense-I set it up myself.

Correct settings for AVAPS?
I have some sleep apnea which is supposedly remedied at a pressure of 7 cm or so, combined with very shallow breathing when I sleep. I switched from an autoasv vpap resmed 9 with a pressure support of 6 and epap or ipap of 9-15. New machine is a Philips System 1 bipap AVAPS C series dom 30 that I bo...

15 Sleep Apnea Surgeries, Inspire, still struggling
I am using AutoASV for sleep apnea and shallow breathing. I've had 15 different surgical procedures including a mandibular advancement, tongue advancement, tongue radio frequencies, septoplasty etc. etc 15 sleep studies and 4 sleep endoscopies. The majority of the week I feel normal or almost normal...

Re: should I try AVAPS/IVAPS for shallow breathing?
thanks - not exercising too strenuously. some days I don't exercise, other days I just walk for an hour or less with no elevation gain. for a while I wasn't exercising much at all (over a year ago for a few years).....same problem. So I don't think over-exercising is the culprit. Healthy diet, 160 l...

should I try AVAPS/IVAPS for shallow breathing?
A recent sleep endoscopy found “very shallow breathing even with arousal”. I’m on ASVAuto and it’s not working well enough. Settings are pressure support 6-16 and EPAP 9-15. Compliance reports show my sleep apnea is adequately controlled by the ASVAUTO machine. Sleep study shows I’m doing great...ex...
