Pugsy answered your question as to whether your AC10 ASV can be used for plain OSA when you asked about buying it for $200. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=183021&p=1395308#p1395353 Yes I remember that but just wanted to see if I could get more responses. The warning put out by ResMed ...

Is ASV ok if you don't know what kind of sleep apnea you have?
I wrote this post once and it magically disappeared after I pressed Ctrl + Enter so apologies if I'm double posting. I got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea in August (~8 AHIs on my side(s), ~12 on my back). Got a F&P APAP which made me feel much better after day 1 but my AHI's were still 2-5 and it w...

Breathing problems, apneas during the day?
Since our airways are obstructed during the night (without CPAP), wouldn't that also mean that we'd have problems with breathing during the day as well? I was reading the book "Breath" by James Nestor where he talks about "email apneas," which is basically the suspension or shallowing of the breath ...

Re: Should I buy a used Resmed AirCurve 10 ASV for $200?
Hold your breath for 10 seconds. I tried it but it didn't work. I just took a 2hr nap and got 0.4 AHI. Yay, it works! A weird thing is that even if I leave the mask running for a bit while completely detached from my face, the mask seal report at the end is still a smiley face. Shouldn't it be frow...

Re: Should I buy a used Resmed AirCurve 10 ASV for $200?
Thanks all for the responses. This is all kinda confusing for me still. My previous machine did APAP and this one seems a little more complicated. Anyway, first night on the new machine, felt better than my previous machine, my AHIs are 0.0 and I can read everything on OSCAR. I hope it's correct da...

Re: Should I buy a used Resmed AirCurve 10 ASV for $200?
Question: is ASV ok for me? I don't have a prescription and I didn't get a titration done. I did get the sleep study but never went back (cause it's expensive and my insurance recently expired and I am between jobs).

Re: Should I buy a used Resmed AirCurve 10 ASV for $200?
Congrats... Sound like a well-spent $200 for a $3k machine. Figuring the hours (2 years of use), you got a great deal IMO. Most here don't seem to care much for machines over 2-3k hours but you were in a unique spot, with a unique (albeit very expensive) situation. Don't forget to turn on EPR! You ...

Thanks everybody for the responses. She's here.

5174 run hrs. That's about 2 years of daily use.

Should I buy a used Resmed AirCurve 10 ASV for $200?
I have a Fisher & Paykel Icon+ Auto CPAP machine that I bought used for $100 about a month ago. However, I just realized that it's not supported by OSCAR. It also doesn't feel as good as the machine I tried at my sleep study did. The air feels more restricted. I got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea (...

Re: OSCAR 1.3.0 Beta: AirSense 11, SleepStyle, DeVilbiss
I think that, for now, we have to call the Icon+ "unsupported." It's going to take some work to solve the problems. We would probably have to rework the loader, which is rarely an easy or quick job. More people use new machines rather than ones from the past, so supporting new machines helps more C...

Re: OSCAR 1.3.0 Beta: AirSense 11, SleepStyle, DeVilbiss
I took a quick look at your data and I'm not going to have an immediate response for you. It looks like I may have to do some reverse engineering on your data to figure out what is going on. My priority right now has to be fixing some issues on the SleepStyle loader for the beta testing cycle we ar...
