Airsense 10 and new filters

Post by resize » Sat Aug 22, 2015 10:17 am

Hello.

I just got a resmed AirSense 10 Autoset. I want to buy new filters.

However I am completely confused.

I measured the filter and its size is 2 1/8 x 1 3/8. It fits exactly into the rectangle slot in the machine.

However when I search for filters some say 2 1/8 x 1 3/8 and others say 2 1/8 x 1 7/16.
Most sites show the larger size and say they are compatible. But I am not convinced that I would
not need to cut them to fit into the machine' rectangular slot.

Any thoughts or suggestions??
Bg

You can just go to a DME and ask for Airsense 10 filters they will be able to help you, alternatively you can go to this forums sponsor cpap.com and just search AirSense 10 filters and you can order them there. All depends on how quickly you need them .

the airsense 10 filter is the same as the S9 filter .... the 1/16 in difference is so little that you probably could not tell the difference and it would fit in the holder without cutting.

Thanks for reminding me to wash out the filters in mine and my wife’s machine
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

don't worry about it, 1/16th of an inch won't matter. I get my filters off ebay, they're much cheaper.

I also prefer the hypoallergenic ones, it seems to help with my allergies

Is there a specific seller you go though, or do you just go with whoever is cheep? While my insurance should pay for them as I need them, it wouldn't to have an extra pack in case they are out of stock when I need some more

I go for whoever is cheap. I think I paid under a buck per filter for resmed hypo filters last time I bought a bunch. they're 2-3$ from even an online DME, and god knows what from a B&M one.

Thanks for the feedback on the size.

In regards to price I do not use insurance (Lincare) because they usually provide 1 filter and I end up paying 5$ and insurance another 5$.
So I just buy about a years worth online and everyone saves money

To me it seems the filter seal is not that good so I worry about it leaking once the filter gets a little clogged.

there is no 'seal' on the filter, or its enclosure.
