Quick question re: ResMed ClimateLine Heated Tubing

Post by brightcrow » Tue Nov 03, 2015 11:02 pm

I've had my Airsense 10 with ResMed ClimateLine Heated Tubing for one month now, and it's showing some wear. My understanding is that it should be replaced every 3 months, so this would be early.

Can you tell me if this is normal wear or a problem please? It's not leaking air, but right at the end that connects to my mask, the coil is a bit floppy now -- the coil has stretched or spread apart where it joins the connector, showing a wider space of clear plastic than the rest of the coils do.

Many thanks.

It doesn't sound like normal wear and tear to me. These hoses will last a lot longer than 3 months.
I have over 6,000 hours on mine and I am not particularly gentle with it.

I've had mine for over a year. It's still like new. I would call wherever you got it. I would think they would take that one back and give you another one. For sure, I'd make a bit of noise.

My provider replaced it for me today, but he said it's likely I held it wrong when disconnecting it in the night when I got up. I'm guessing that happened when the condensation tried to drown me a few days ago, and I tore it off in a panic. Sometimes, groggy, urgent in the night, it's hard to find the right way to grab it. I'll learn in time.

Thanks for the input, all.
