Last night used CPAP again. Fell asleep on back which I usually don't do, but have to due to body pain.
As soon as I started faking into a deep sleep, it felt like my heart was "falling" or "caving in" or something...my heart actually hurt. This happened twice. Then I gave up, got on stomach and slept - but not much due to lower back pain.
Has anyone ever heard of or experienced this heart "dropping" or "slowing" feeling? I wish I could describe it better.
AHI was 2.4
90% was 8.5 (highest for me yet)
Mask was fine
Maybe I shouldn't have raised bottom pressure from 5 to 7 on my own yet? (I'm about 10 days new at this).

I have had strange feelings, like am I getting any flow through the mask, oxygen into my body. Mild panicky feelings when I am not sure. I usually tilt the mask off my face to reassure my brain the air is indeed flowing. I have a little problem with enclosed spaces. But these feelings have mostly subsided as I've gotten used to treatment.

Thanks Mudrock
I was just looking at your mask, the Airfit 10. How does it stay on if there's no headgear or straps on forehead? (Unless I saw photo wrong it looks that way).

I wonder if I'm so darned exhausted - that as I go to sleep my body is just shocked.
This has happened before without CPAP too.

One strap goes around the base of the skull, the other more towards the top of the skull. The seal is really good with this mask, and I usually get a good, snug fit with minor adjusting of the position of the straps, or the length of the straps by repositioning the velcro.Hopefullady wrote:Thanks Mudrock
