I used to have a resmed air sense 10. Got it when it first came out. It finally broke down. . Got a new machine. They gave me Phillips respironics by mistake.
Which one is better in your opinion.
I can return the respironics and get the newest resmed
Thank you in advance.
Mike
Resmed or Phillips .
Re: Resmed or Phillips .
welcome to the zoo! though i've only been on cpap for close to four years, i've used both and prefer resmed. better response time, in my estimation.Beachwalker wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 12:07 pmI used to have a resmed air sense 10. Thank you. Still a zoo......it’s the internet. Probably won’t change. I was here about 6 years ago for sometime. I did learn a lot!
I did recognize pugsy name. Very nice soul. Super nice.

I switched from one to the other - I cannot believe how much better my new one is (ResMed)
Others find they are used to the Respironics algorithm, and changing to ResMed is not pleasant.YMMV.

Re: Resmed or Phillips .
I posed a similar question a couple months ago. Generally I think you'll find that most people prefer the ResMed. I'd been on a Respironics System One ASV and wanted to try the ResMed to see if it improved my sleep. The numbers were better, but subjectively, I felt much worse, so I swapped it out for the Dreamstation, and have slept OK since. For me personally, the smoother (but less responsive) Respironics is less disruptive.
If using that Respironics for a few nights won't preclude you from swapping it for the ResMed, that seems like a great option. See if it feels better or worse than what you've been used to, and base your decision on that.
Good luck!
