Thanks. I made it to a second phone interview next week. Yay!
I looked at a government website and saw you have it scheduled. Good luck.

I have sewn very little for the last 20 years, but my machines are in great shape.
I am making masks for my family, now--and am getting the bug to do even more.
I use the serger whenever possible, and the rest goes on the Viking.
I forgot how "zen" it is to sew.
Going to have to go to the store--I stepped on my reading glasses--oh, crud!
I haven't used one since my kids got out of school so I got rid of my old singer when we moved back to Arizona. I found a Brother LX3817 on the Walmart app and put it in the cart for pick up. I'm surprised that it didn't get canceled like my first several attempts to buy a sewing machine.
Now all I have to do is figure out what I'm going to use for wire across the nose. I'm using the sew it online pattern. Figure out if I get back into sewing I will pick up a better machine after this pandemic ends and the sewing shops open back up.
What pattern are you using ?
Cut up pop and beer cans or try folding aluminum foil......
See you on the other side when the smoke clears...

If the machine starts to slow down when sewing, it may to be serviced to protect the shafts and bearings...

Viking lubrication is well-sealed (good construction).
Sadly I cannot say the same for the front shell of the "A" stitch selector cassette,
which is starting to disintegrate like a prostitute's panties.
Apparently, some bozo got a deal on UV-soluble ABS.
The only cassettes I find online are the fancy stitch cassettes, and embroidery cassettes.
No basic stitch cassette.
I may just use clear tape over the damage--until the part turns up.

You are not supposed to use the sewing machine while in the tanning bed.

Several years of ROOM light--that should NEVER happen.
I had an ancient Elna machine that turned a sickly yellow--but it not crack and turn into a puzzle.
