Oh, you are right. That little walking man above the jack looked like the USB port symbol and tricked me.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 5:35 pmNothing quite like making it proprietary.

Only controllable from a cellphone through MyAir?
Oh, hell no.

The second link at behance.net is a student's design project. I'm 95% sure it's not real / from Resmed.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 8:48 pmOnly controllable from a cellphone through MyAir?

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
Oh, dear, that IS a negative! That is a major drawback to my AirMini when I travel, I mean USED to travel ! (I've hacked the hose so I can stick use my Bleep and that has significantly minimized noise.) But otherwise it looks really cool! I wonder about noise, since they acutally address noise cancellation.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 8:48 pmOnly controllable from a cellphone through MyAir?

Again - the 2nd link is a mock up / student project. It's not real.booksfan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 7:05 amOh, dear, that IS a negative! No reference to an ASV model? Or am I missing it?
Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
High end specialty models historically are the last to be released....so give it some time.
In the past usually a few months after the regular models are released.
It's always been that way whether ResMed or Respironics model change....the specialty models come later.

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
I am more concerned about the whereabouts as to the SD card slot. Need to wait and see final model release but I have long feared that eventually the DMEs wants would eliminate the SD card for data storage.
Folks remember....patients are not who these manufacturers try to please and make happy.....it's the DMEs and doctors who the manufacturers listen to.
Certainly not us.
DMEs would love to have everything that THEY want in the cloud and not have to screw around with ResScan or anything that involves a little extra work for them. Remember they think they walk on water and we are too stupid to even manage setting anything or understanding anything about our machines. They would prefer us to be kept in the dark so that they are more important.....and needed.

Would not having an SD card kill Oscar?

Eventually, but many of us dinosaurs will hang onto our antiques.
Even longer than normal.

FYI -- if you click on the first picture and scroll to the right, an arrow taking you to the next slide will appear. There are 10 or so additional pictures/diagrams. I missed that initially.
This is a really innovative design -- speakers with white noise, music, alarms, noise cancellation, voice command, a different filtration system, integrated hose and power cord storage for travel. They went back to the drawing board on this one...no wonder it took them so long. I imagine these accoutrements will come with a higher price tag.
I bet an Oscar app can be written for cell phone if necessary.
**edit**: the carrying case, while having a cool form factor, might be a pain if airport luggage scanners won't scan it unless you open it all up.

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
As it is right now....no SD card means no way of getting whatever data gets collected transferred to the software (OSCAR/ResScan).
No detailed data unless they expand the data that gets transmitted to the cloud (MyAir or whatever My that doctors have access to).
So it effectively kills the patient's ability to have access without going to the cloud if there is no SD card storage.
Now did they maybe kill the detailed data collection entirely and it won't matter? That's an unknown right now.
A lot that is unknown until we actually get our hands on a machine and see what it actually stores and in what format.
Patience grasshoppers....patience. I know it's a struggle.

Except the one you are looking at is the figment of someone's imagination, not the Resmed S11.MeToo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 9:27 amFYI -- if you click on the first picture and scroll to the right, an arrow taking you to the next slide will appear. Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
The first design shown may be an intentional leak to gather USER feedback.
(We can only hope.)
The second design is a school project--probably a travel unit.
The Star Trek carrying case was a dead giveaway.
(The student may get docked on that derivative item)
