Has anyone managed to replace the mask filter on a Resmed N30 mask?
I love this mask but the filter mesh is blocked making exhale harder. I refuse to buy an expensive new frame just because the filter needs replacing. It should be a service item but I can't see a way to remove it without breaking the frame.
Has anyone figured this out?
Resmed N30 mask filter replacement
Re: Resmed N30 mask filter replacement
Those are vent holes.....not anything to do with a filter on the N30 mask.
The P10 has the same venting system with the little holes.
You are supposed to keep the holes clean and free of gunk with cleaning.
Got a water pik???

Re: Resmed N30 mask filter replacement
Yes, the filter material is the other side of the vent holes. It's impossible to clean the filter material through those tiny vent holes. So removing the materials replacing it or even being able to give it a scrub is what I'm trying to achieve. Just soaking in the frame in hot water doesn't clear it.
Re: Resmed N30 mask filter replacement
Ok, so I have answered my own question. I figured that my N30 was unusable and would need replacing so had nothing to lose. I got a flat screwdriver and careful levered the parts apart to get to the filters. I used the old ones as a template to cut some new ones from a spare resmed s10 filter. Clipping the parts back together was quite a challenge, required a fair amount of force. But all back together now and like new. Result.
