I assume you've unplugged/replugged it several times?

What machine do you have? The Airsense 11 has been known to have a heated tube problem, a firmware fix was supposed to help this. I have seen this happen to an Airsense 10 as well. Examine both ends of the electrical connection at the machine end... something may have gotten in there that you can remove.

The next step is to replace it and hope it comes back. If not, then there may be a problem inside the machine.

I had a brand new Climateline heated tube that was defective from the start, it would indicate when it was plugged in, but it never heated and was replaced as defective. Never had one that worked and then quit though.

Yes I have plugged and unplugged several times. I am wondering if maybe cleaning the inside with the tube brush may have caused a problem. But I have done that in cleaning several times before and no problem. I have the Luna G3 machine. Could it be coming from a connection problem with the machine?

Basic troubleshooting is divide-and-conquer... you'll need either a replacement hose or a replacement machine to play swap-tronix. One or the other is broken.

Another good reason to keep spares of *everything*, including the power utility. I have two generators, six machines, four hoses, five tubs, five masks, etc.

I'm going to guess the hose is the problem. The hose has a fine wire that is embedded in the spirals of the hose and the wire heats when power is applied from the CPAP. It is quite possible that cleaning with a brush, particularly if it is tight going through the hose, may have stressed the wire and broken it. 'Assuming' the G3 is functioning correctly, I'm thinking it detects the heating part of the hose by measuring a small amount electrical current passing through the heating wire. If no current is detected by the G3, it thinks the heater is not plugged in.

My method of cleaning my heated hose consists of putting a few drops of Dawn dish liquid in an end, filling with warm water, alternately raise each end up and down to move the water and detergent around, and then run faucet water through the hose to flush it out. Probably vinegar/water solution could be used if concerned about bacteria or other stuff.

Amazon does have a G3 heated hose for about $40 (free shipping with Prime). Other online CPAP suppliers may have it cheaper, but may have varying shipping costs.

I have another machine, and power unit, but I am unable to use a heated tube. I will have to buy an after market to fit it. I ordered another heated tube for the Luna G3 and will see if it is the tube or machine.

I think it is the tube also. But not sure until I get the new one. I hope it's not the machine. I have tried cleaning as you do, and I don't think that cleans as good as a brush. I just have to be more gentle with the brushing.
