SD card error

Post by onward60 » Thu Sep 26, 2024 8:42 am

This morning my machine said SD card error, remove your SD card. So I did. It didn't record anything last night. I tried to put it back in, it said error again. Any suggestions?

Buy a new SD Card.

The detail data from last night's session can't be retrieved, but the summery data can, as soon as you put your new SD Card in.

So, the card is no good?

I don't know.

Probably not. There is a chance it can be revived.

If I had it in my possession, there's some trouble-shooting things I'd do. But, you asking suggests you don't have the background. The SD Card has demonstrated reliability problems, if you're data's not important to you save the 8 bucks.

You're right. I don't. I guess I need to buy a new one.

It is possible that the formatting just went wonky, thereby throwing the error.

Honestly, while there may be a way to revive it, it's just not worth the trouble. Buy a new one.

YouTube may have a video for recovering the function--but not the data.
The cheapest, and only sure solution is a new card.
You can follow how-to videos, but there are no guarantees.
Good luck.

Did you accidentally move the write protect slider switch? It must be up for the machine to be able to write to it.
