Mask Leak reset

Post by AfibApnea » Wed Nov 13, 2024 6:11 pm

Occasionally, my ResMed Air Curve10 indicates a Mask leak (Smiley Red Face).

The indicator will eventually reset itself but I can't predict when.
What's the procedure for resetting the Mask Leak indicator (to a Smiley Green Face[/color)?

Thanks

The mask leak emoji indicates the mask leak for the entire night. If you have a lengthy period of high mask leak, the emoji will be there until the next night. It will go away if you don't have high mask leak the second night.

When I take off my mask, and intend on putting it on soon, I press the switch on the top of the unit. Pressing the left or right side of this rocker switch causes the unit to go into a ‘standby’ state (pressing the center of this switch turns the unit off completely) that emits a steady but weak stream of air. Is this standby state enough to trigger the mask leak emoji?

also
1) What does the machine consider a lengthy period to be?
2) How does the machine know what the “next night” is? Is there a clock or timer involved??
3) How does unplugging the machine affect its ‘timekeeping’?
4) If I use another machine (or no machine) for a few days, does it automatically reset?

Thanks

When you turn off the machine a low speed air stream continues to run for about 20 minutes to cool the humidifier and dry the hose. You would see a symbol on your machine's screen indicating this. This does not produce a mask leak emoji.

Are you sure that is a rocker switch? My AS10 AutoSet has an On/Off button only.

The owners manual for your machine also shows only an On/Off button. ---> https://www.outfrontmedical.com/content ... Manual.pdf

Using SleepHQ.com brings a better understanding than the emojis.

It starts a new day at noon. So, a person who sleeps past noon will have two nights.

No effect.

No, but your regular machine is very jealous and might rainout in your face.
