Cpap and travel
So.... I got that medical tag and such. a perscription to carry too .. but how do you guys carry your mask safely when you fly or travel???
My M series bag has enough room for the cpap and humidifier, and hose/electrcial cord....But not enough for my mask. I am afraid to mush the soft plastic.
Im interested in your ideas on how to safely travel with my mask when flying or on long road trips... i can't seem to find a case just for this purpose without elaving my humidifier out ( which I don't want to do)
Thanks for all the imput. I love to read and see whats new on here. I have learned so much... thanks

Re: Cpap and travel
I’ve just put my mask into original box and put it into suitcase.
1. I never send any cpap stuff in my suitcase - I always carry it along - suitcases have been known to go AWOL, or just arrive 24 or 48 hours too late, or be taken home by mistake by the wrong ower, etc.
2. If you don't feel like simply wrapping the mask in a T shirt, and putting it somewhere safe in your carry on bag - then:
3. Suppose you wanted to carry on a bannana and a few peaches - I'ld pack them in a tupperware container or something like that, And then fill the unused space in that container with some of the clean extra clothing I always carry along - socks, underware etc.
4. As for the way back, when maybe you no longer have clean extra clothing -- well, you'll find a solution I guess.
O.

Have you considered using another bag? Either an aftermarket padded bag or a cpap bag for another machine? The bag from the Remstar tank should be big enough for all your equipment and I see them on e-bay occaisionally.

Both my Remstar bag and my Evo Everest 2 bag have more than enough room for mask, hoses, extension cords, tape, etc.

THanks for your great ideas. I will try to buy a bag (as was suggessted) even if its not an M series. THis way I can just carry it all in one place. Im a terrible pack rat and can pack 10 pounds of *&^% it a 2 pound bag, so I have to watch for squishing.
thanks again

I purchased a Pelican 1510 foam lined case to carry all of my equipment. You can customize the foam to fit all of your equipment and the case is very protective. It's on wheels so it is easy to pull through any airport and it is carry on size. Has more than enough room for everything I carry.
