They are quite durable and should last a very long time; it has silicone ends and is made from good quality materials.. A regular hose will usually last for well over a year and there is no reason that the Aussie Heated Hose shouldn't last at least as long.

Two things that will make the ends last longer are to put an elbow on the machine end of the hose and put a slip on quick disconnect on the mask end. My heated hose came with the elbow and I buy quick disconnects from an online supplier.

My haeated hose has been going strong for some 4 1/2 years.

I have one, and have been using it...but I can't even tell if it ever worked. Should it be warm enough to feel that it is on, with your fingers?

The hose is one thing, the power supply is something else.
Check the instructions, IIRC (don't take my word for it) they say you can feel it warm up if you put it in a plastic bag for 5 minutes.
