FlexiFitHC432 vs Forma Mask
FlexiFitHC432 vs Forma Mask
Hi everyone! I'm getting my first mask and based on my having a rather large cranium and facial hair and being a mouth breather it seems like either the Flexifit432 or the forma mask would be suitable for me. As far as the amount of foam does one differ from the other? I know each for is a personal thing and there are different sizes but does one tend towards bigger dimensions and more cushioning than the other? Or are the difference merely the forehead bit? Thanks in advance for any replies

I HAVE USED THE FORMA FULL FACE MASK AND THINK IT IS BETTER THAN THE 432...

I keep my facial hair plucked but the flexi fit 432 fits me better but they are both very good masks.

Hello ladies. Thank you so much for your replies...Yes i am kinda leaning towards the Forma but not so much that i'm not torn between the two *LOL* ...

Very happy with my 431; wish I'd known about the 432 three weeks ago and will try that at new mask time.

As a fellow bearded CPAPER I have a Forma, and works well. The foam helps give cushion to the seal you are trying to achieve. I also have a FitLife and it has no foam more the hollow type and it have over tighten a bit to get a seal. The problem I have with the Forma is the forehead piece is not comfortable for me. So that is why I have been using the FitLife which has no forehead piece. I went through 8 different mask with my provider. I ended up choosing my own as they would not recommend the Forma or FitLife as they claimed they were too leaky. On the contrary I got them both to work with consistence. I have learn CPAP is trial and error and research

Hi Bons! JC! Yes all of the suppliers i'm going to locally are doing the same thing. Pushing what they want to sell me. During my sleep study they had that respironics mask with the sad looking half deflated "cushion" if you can call it that. It was horrible and i had the same nose problem just with one nights use. So i'm not even considering them. Which is what the local facilities are all trying to push. So since i'm buying out of pocket anyway i'm going it all alone. With everyones suggestions i think i am leaning a little more toward the Forma.
But then i see a whole heck of a lot of people, bearded people including, are buying the FlexiFit and it makes me think if it's that many more maybe there is something to it. Decisions decisions hehe

If i measured for a large in a FlexiFit then would i take the same in the Forma?
Re: FlexiFitHC432 vs Forma Mask
I went with the Forma. I'll report back on my findings with it

Well it's been a couple of nights and so far i can say, aside from still getting used to the mask, is i LOVE the Forma! It's so much better than what they had in the sleep lab. No rpoblems with leaks with a full beard. Very comfortable. Two thumbs up for me!
