Accuracy on leak rates? ReScan or SleepyHead
Curious as to the difference in the reporting on leak rates with ReScan and SleepyHead. For last night, ReScan shows a 95% leak rate of 3.6, while SleepyHead shows a 95% leak rate of 19.2. All of the other numbers on both reports seem to be close to each other. Any ideas on the variance with the leak rate? Thanks. Chuck

I think I have seen a similar question before. I think the variance you see in the 2 has to do with the "expected leak rate" of a given mask. I think resscan will subtract the leek that naturally comes from the exhaust ports of your mask. As I have a brick I can't tell you if there is a setting in sleepy head that would do the same thing

What version of SleepyHead are you using and what is the build date.
To find build date go to the Help section and click on "About SleepyHead"
ResScan is the correct 95% leak number....I used to see large differences myself between SleepyHead and ResScan with my S9 VPAP Auto...
Mark was aware of this issue and I think he tried to fix it.
With my S9 Adapt...now SleepyHead and ResScan match.
This is with both the 0.9.4 unstable build and I am testing and the 0.9.3 build date May 2013 that I am using.
If your build date isn't May 2013...go get the latest SleepyHead and install it...see if that fixes the issue.

Re: Accuracy on leak rates? ReScan or SleepyHead
Thank you both for the information. The version of SleepHead I'm using is 0.9.3 - Build date-5/18/13. Last night, the 95% leak rate with SleepyHead was 25.3 and ReScan was 24, which is close enough for me to confirm the accuracy of the reporting.

I can't swear to it that Mark got that bug fixed.
You may find that sometimes the 95% numbers for leak are "close" and sometimes so far off it's almost laughable.
It may just be a calculation difference but when in doubt...I go with what ResScan says.
