Ultra Mirage Full Face for sale

Post by Fenway » Thu Jun 22, 2006 7:00 pm

I purchased a ResMed Ultra Mirage Full Face (size Medium,Standard Cushion) mask a couple of weeks ago, hoping that it would solve my mouth-leaking problems. I tried it on 2 seperate nights for about 15-20 minutes each night and couldn't tolerate it. It can't be returned since it's opened up, & if I keep it it's just going to sit around here gathering dust in my box o' masks.

I'm going back to an Activa mask & will just have to deal with a chinstrap.

Anyone interested? I'm open to any offers.....Please email me direct Fenway9@comcast.net

Thanks!
Steve

I'm curious, what was it about the mask that you couldn't use it for more than 15 or 20 minutes at a time? I use the Activa also and have been considering the Ultra Mirage FF Mask because I've heard others here with positive results and it seems like a way to do away with the chin stap on those particular nights (I would plan on alternating)

Is it too big and bulky? Does it weight a great deal more the Activa?

I couldn't get it to seal properly, the resp. therapist at the DME warned me that it may be a problem. I figured it was worth a try anyway. the only way I could get any kind of seal was if I laid absolutely still, which is impossible as I tend to toss & turn as I sleep.

he mask was $140 or so new, like I said I have only worn it for about 1/2 hr total. I want a new Activa which is around $100 or so new.... My insurance paid for the UMFF mask but won't allow me to get another mask for 3 months so if I can sell it for the cost of the Activa (my current Activa is past the end of it's useful life) then I get a new mask which I need desperately, and you get a pretty-much new UMFF mask for much less than retail. I can ship it USPS flat rate for $8.10 to the US lower 48.

THanks
