Good to know I didn't know you could use them together. I will do that for sure.palerider wrote:I use both.. the plain one first, then the hypo. less allergensjskala wrote:palerider wrote:the recommended change interval for those filters is six months. but it pays to keep an eye on 'em, I wish they made the plastic covers clear, it'd be easier to see when they were getting cruddyjskala wrote: I will keep an eye on the filter I don't think that is the issue. the machine is only 4 days old. I hope it isn't plugged up that badly. Lol..
you can also buy a hypoallergenic filter that gets more crud out of your air, I get mine on ebay
I ordered the hypoallergenic filters Friday from cpap.com just to have them cause I knew I would need them.

Before starting CPAP, twice a year my allergies would go into overdrive. Perhaps it's coincidence, or perhaps it's the nice filtered air with proper humidity, but for the last several years my allergies have only been minor. Here's hoping you have similar results!!!jskala wrote:I suffer from allergy's big time I get sinus infections alot. So trying to dial in the humidity and understand it is going to be key for me. Normally around Oct or Nov is when things get back for me. And I will most likely have to switch to a full face mask since I will switch to a mouth breather at that time I am sure.

Now this I like. Since I only just started CPAP I don't know what it holds but I am good for 1 to 2 sinus infections and if bad one that will land me with a nice case of bronchitis.Craig-Tx wrote:Before starting CPAP, twice a year my allergies would go into overdrive.
