Hello all, new member
My cat bit several holes in both my hoses, one of those is heated. I tried duct tape, didn't get a decent seal. I tried electricians tape, again not a good seal. I then tried gorilla tape. I found that tape not flexible. I then tried white plumber's tape, it was too thin and deteriorated. I gave up for a while after trying a combination of electricians and duct tape. Hose again was not very flexible and a distinct fwee sound was happening.
About a month later, my water pipe to my toilet had a pinhole leak and my friendly neighbourhood Home Hardware store manager directed me to a flexible, air tight, water tight seal. The trick is to pull the tape tightly and make sure to do a decent overlap. I decided to also use this Magic Wrap tape on one of my hoses. Holy crap, it worked! So I have now wrapped both hoses and have lots of tape left over. It's been a few weeks, so it isn't drying out or splitting.
I won't lie. Wrapping the hose takes time and patience and you really need to pull it tight. Once you start and see the tension required, you will get it done. This is so safe. No fumes, no glue, no extra adhesive.
Now my pressure is restored and no more "fweeeeeeeee"
