Latest on noise reduction for AirMini?

Post by pdnomad » Wed Sep 29, 2021 8:35 am

I am a long-time CPAP user and occasional lurker here.

I recently bought an AirMini and a P10 mask. I love the operation and instrumentation, but the noise is a lot louder than from my former S9.

I have searched through the many AirMin/Noise threads on the board, and have learned about the Qtube, the Qmini, the hose adapters, 3D-printable and otherwise. I did some Googling to order the stuff (I live in Europe, so that is a bit more of a challenge), but found some parts (the Q* mufflers) out of stock, and the functionality and compatibility of other parts unclear.

So, i am eager to get all the parts needed to make my rig quieter. I would like to use the HumidX system. I am happy with the P10 mask, but I am open to replacing the mask if necessary.

So: can someone make a set of links to the items I should buy and sources to get this done? If this already exists as an up-to-date sticky or other reference doc, I would be happy to get the link.

Thanks so much for your time and expert assistance.

Paul

Any supply problems may be due to increased demand,
created by a competitor's major mess-up.
Regardless of source, they may all be having problems.
Patience is hard, I know.

Here is a link to the kit

https://www.apriadirect.com/breas-qtube ... medium=cpc

What’s Included:
QTube
8″ Flex Hose
Replacement kit (replacement foam, O Ring, and plastic wrap)

It appears they have them in stock for $34.95 + shipping. I confirmed they do not ship internationally so unless you have someone stateside who can receive it, you can send to my home and I can forward it on to you. PM me if interested.

Thanks so much sleep_quest, for your very thorough and helpful answer. I appreciate your time, knowledge, and diligence.

I ordered one of each - I hope between the two of them, I can get some quiet!

I have shipping handled - thanks for your kind offer, though.

Best wishes -

Paul
