The Software Versions of the ResMed AirCurve 10 VAUTO I received 5-2-2023 are as follows:
Device: SX567-0401
Humidifier: SX556-0204
Internal Modem: SX558-0615
Provider: T-Mobile 4G
Made in Singapore
With all of the supply issues during Covid & ResMed having a 2nd Model (Card to Cloud), I "assume" my VAUTO is a current model.
But the Software does not seem to have been updated in quite a while.
The Software Version of my previous VAUTO purchased 9-15-2017 was SX567-0306

Re: Software Versions of AirCurve 10 VAUTO
This is the version my AirCurve 10 VAuto shows and it has 10,500 hours on it. I forget exactly when I started using it but it's been a few years.
So I have the same software version on my old well used machine as you do on your rather new machine.
My best guess is that ResMed just hasn't updated the software in these machines and we may not see any newer version until they release the AirCurve 11 models....who knows when that will be.

It's not a cell phone, they don't have software updates every quarter.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 4:57 pmThe Software Versions of the ResMed AirCurve 10 VAUTO I received 5-2-2023 are as follows:

I know they don't ---- but, should they ?
Actually, I think they should have only 1 machine that you register with ResMed, etc to download the options that are in the model you purchased.
Quarterly or more recent software updates would then fine tune the options in your model to make your model operate more efficiently.
Even my TV gets automatic software updates. I have had 3 since I purchased it in late Nov 2022.
Plus other updates are available online if your TV is experiencing unique problems.
CPAP, etc manufacturers need to step up their game.
It might not turn them into another Apple. But, it certainly would help.

Re: Software Versions of AirCurve 10 VAUTO
Why? most of the continual updates are *bug fixes* because these days "it compiles! ship it!" Seems to be the word of the day. Medical stuff, however, tends to have more attention to detail built in at the start.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:07 pmpalerider wrote:

However, the algorithms haven't really changed since 2010 when the S9 was released.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:07 pmActually, I think they should have only 1 machine that you register with ResMed, etc to download the options that are in the model you purchased.

Problems which are caused by crappy software *in the first place*.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:07 pmEven my TV gets automatic software updates. I have had 3 since I purchased it in late Nov 2022.

People who actually work with systems tend to look at these regular software updates with trepidation, because while the update may fix some bugs, it usually introduces new ones.
I disagree completely.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:07 pmCPAP, etc manufacturers need to step up their game.

Apple is built on the concept of marketing and hoodwinking the masses into buying 'ooh shiny!', without any consideration of the actual build quality, or reliability, (and certainly no repairability), not because they crank out continual bug fixes for their initially buggy security hole ridden product.
No thank you, something that *WORKS* out of the box and doesn't need continual patching and rebooting is much preferable in my view.
