Water chamber broken. Ideas for emergency use?

Post by Snorezan » Fri Nov 29, 2024 2:22 pm

For boring reasons, I have no water chamber for my Resmed Airsense 11 and Thanksgiving has shut suppliers. I won't be able to receive a new one for days afterwards. :( Supplier sent me a chamber that's too tall. Any ideas for altering the height or running with no chamber?

running with no chamber
How "broken" is it? Can it be used without large air leaks? If there are large air leaks, can they be taped over?

Some of us never use water and do fine with no nasal dryness.

No. Neither of those ideas will work with the AirSense 11.

This is why most of us keep a spare water chamber on hand.

Not knowing how broken it is, Duct tape might help.

Thanks for everyone's responses. I'm reposting with another headline to make the problem clear: I need ideas for modifying a water chamber that's too tall or running without one. I have a Resmed Airsense 11.
Background: I was sent a new chamber that's too tall. While traveling, I can't receive a new one. And the old one is at home.

You cannot make the too tall water chamber shorter. Simply can't be done and have it seal.
You also cannot use just the machine without a water chamber unless you have the side plate inserted.

Best you can do right now (until you can get home) is maybe duct tape the chamber so it will at least fit inside the machine without any water (assuming the taping allows leaking) and seal well enough for the machine to work.

Otherwise your are SOL I am afraid. Not what you wanted to hear I know but it is what it is.
No matter how many threads you create with the same topic.

BTW.....no more separate threads please. Duplicate threads aren't allowed and it's not going to change the answers that you are wanting to get. Anymore duplicates will be removed.
