Have any of you been told that you could use flushable disposable wipes to clean off your AirTouch cushions for the F20? The other pure clear plastic cushion for the F20 is not a problem, but the AirTouch is almost like a cloth. I also wonder about any kind of fragrance affecting me, as I have allergic reactions to cologne, but I don't know if this is the same.
I have tried two different full-face masks for my new AirCurve 11 besides the P30i nasal cushion. A few times, I got a 20 out of 20 on mask fit, which is usually not what I get with the cushions. Most of the time, the P-20 cushions don't work out well, although I like the AirTouch better as it feels softer, like cloth. At Lincare, they also gave me a Siesta mask to try, which has a better hook-on system for the straps. In other words, the straps snap into a slot and lock in, whereas the non-magnetic F20s have this little rosebud kind of setup where you take the round clip from the strap and place it onto the male end of the rosebud thing. It doesn't really click; it just falls in. It does work most of the time, but sometimes, if it's on the tight side, it'll open up at night while I'm sleeping.
The Siesta mask seemed like a great idea except I get these big loud leaks coming out of the sides almost like farting sounds. I was really hopeful for the Siesta mask because I love the way the hook clips in and it wouldn't come out. I don't know why I'm having trouble with the cushion. With the masks, I often get a very good seal, and the incredible irony of all this is that I'm getting apnea events in the teens from 11 to 17.
Also surprisingly, I thought I would do better on my back, but I'm getting more apnea events on my back than I am lying on my side. Last night I laid on my side. I got an 83 with:
- 66: 6 and 1/2 hours of sleep
- 7: 7 out of 20 for the seal
5 2.4 AHI
- 5: not taking off the mask sleeping through the night
Actually, as far as the six and a half hours of sleep, that's not really right. It was five-something, and then when I woke up, I watched TV with the mask on to raise my points. I wonder if that does any good. Certainly, if I have 5 hours and 58 minutes, maybe a little bit more will increase my numbers in the first category precisely. I have it set for full-face mask even when I switch to the nasal pillows, which doesn't seem to be a problem. I think when I have a better seal, I'm not yawning as much. Even if I have 16 or 17 apnea events, I can't explain that.

This is typical. On your back, gravity is directly pulling your soft palate and tongue into your airway.
It's debatable whether any flushable wipes are flushable - https://www.familyhandyman.com/article/ ... flushable/

Regarding the AirTouch F20. It uses memory foam, and it's not to be cleaned with water.
While you can purchase CPAP wipes online, I find that Baby Wipes do a great job, and cost a lot less.
I use Pampers Fragrance Free Baby wipes. The Complete Clean, and Sensitive Wipes both work well.
I have sometimes used the generic store brand wipes with mixed results. Some of those have a lot of lint, which you don't want.
I have a tendency to drool a bit on the low side as I side sleep. Sometims i will moisten the wipe with just a very small bit of water if need thet to clean that part of the foam. Definitely do NOT use alchohol wipes. The will damage the memory foam.
The baby wipes are not flushable, and IMHO you don't want to use the flushable wipes because they lint more than the regular wipes.

I clean my masks with a fragrance-free baby wipe or a towel and with hazel. I sometimes use a mix of isopropyl alcohol and water to remove skin oil. Washing my masks including the one you use is a problem here due to hard water. Soap residue remains on it which irritates skin. I've tried the F20 Air Touch but it leaked so badly that I returned to the F20, Six months ago I switched to the F40 and found it the best of 5 mask types I've used. I dabble in mask liners with mixed results finding them more of a hassle than they may be worth.

A cup of filtered water can be used as a final rinse. I do this with eyeglasses and sunglasses after they were washed in sudsy Dawn.
