is this sposed to happen?

I just got a respironics auto w/cflex dropped off by rt (temporary till titrated)....do you know if this is sposed to happen? The machine was turned off (i think) and I tried on the interface prongs to "practice"...when I started breathing, the machine started to blow air! Will a remstar auto do that automatically if it senses you breathing, even if its turned off? I tried several times and it happened each time. Also there's always numbers on it when that happens. Normal? Terry

Yes, Terry, normal with the SmartStart activated. The machine comes with an auto start feature. You experienced it by putting the mask and an breathing inot the hoise. The machine senses flow and cuts on. No worries, machine is fine.
