nasal mask for small narrow face? Simplicity maybe?

Post by mountainlvr » Wed Apr 01, 2009 6:47 am

I'm going to get yet another mask this month and I would like another nasal mask, not a pillow mask, but one that covers the nose. I have the Flexi Fit 406 which I like a lot, but it's just a bit short for my nose. I may try the 407, but that one was a bit too wide when I had tried it originally.

Just wondering if anyone has tried either the Simplicity or the Soyala and if you like them. Or even the ZZZ.

Some of the nasal masks are just too wide for my face, so I need something small but tall enough to fit over the bump in the bridge of my nose.

Thanks!!!!

I have the Simplicity and use it quite a bit, when I want a break from my nasal pillows. If you like a nasal mask, I think it would fit a small narrow face fine. Your face shape and size is similar to mine, if the Avatar is a picture of you. The Simplicity is a very lightweight, easy fitting and comfortable nasal mask for me. There is not much to it! I got it when I was first diagnosed - 7+ years ago. In fact, it was the one I used in my titration study. I still have one (not the original!) and go back to it for a break from nasal pillows from time to time. It has no hard forehead piece (just straps) and is, for me, easy on the nose bridge.

I'm not sure what size to suggest. I have a small but sometimes think a medium might be better for me. Some day I may try a medium! Sounds like you will get to try one on so that will be good.

Have you considered nasal pillows? If you can tolerate them, I think they are great for small narrow faces! I also have the Snapp (nasal prongs) and really like it!
