No more cpapauction listings?

Post by RipVW » Sun Sep 05, 2010 4:27 pm

Just tried to list on cpapauction.com, got this message: "Resmed has prohibited the sale of their items on CPAPAuction.com. Many sellers are working around these restrictions. Until we can enforce the Resmed ban with precision, we can't accept new auctions. We apologize for this sorry state of affairs."

I wasn't trying to list a Resmed product. Does anyone know why nothing may be listed due to the Resmed issue?

I noticed some items that didn't list the brand. I guess this is the problem. What was you trying to list and what was your hopped for price? I was just curious.

I guess Resmed REALLY does wield a big stick.....if Johnny wants to keep selling Resumed on cpap.com I imagine he has to comply with whatever Resmed says.....not fair...to Johnny or to us, but that's big business. Ironically, I have the radio on and guess what they are playing....Taking Care of Business
Cheers

My intrepretation of it is that they don't currently have a way to only exclude listings for ResMed, so they have put a stop to ALL listings until they have recoded the listing software meet the new ResMed requirement.

Resmed is working the laws here in the US to try and keep the cost of their product high for consumers here. It will hurt the citizens of this country who need the help more than anyone. Individuals and venders who were selling their Resmed products on cpap.com will just start sell over seas in foreign countries and they will get a much higher price for them.

Just my two cents.

I think that's a scam. The phone number did not check out to be in the city it was advertised in.

There isn't a phone number listed in my area. You just email them through Craig's list. It could be a scam who knows. I hope no one would send money to someone out of the area on Craig's list.

I bought and sold on craiglist, in fact got a brand new S8 AutoSet II for under $500 back in March. But it was a face to face meeting, I plugged the machine on, did complete inspection, etc.

Never use paypal or any other electronic form of payment with craigslist, always meet in a public place and you'll be just fine!

That advertisement was on my local Craigslist with a phone number to call. I did a reverse seach on the number and it came back to a city 6oo miles away.

Someone recommend an auction software package if someone were to want to set up an auction site dedicated to ResMed products?
