Where's Lori?

Post by Guest » Mon Nov 28, 2005 7:23 pm

Did all of the BAD guests drive her away from helping people on this forum?

If that's the case, it is a crying shame. Lori is a true volunteer and has helped many, many people here on this forum.

Bad, Bad guests who drove her away. bad!

Hey, Kirk! Thanks for caring where I was. I read that Kathy (Babbie) said she read where someone was wondering where I was, so I looked at the threads and found this. So nice to be missed. I have been "lurking" more than posting lately, not to mention involved with two major medical crises with two of my closest friends since 6th grade and working a lot. I just think everyone is doing such a great job without my input that I don't need to say a word. Hope you are doing well and feeling good. You know, you can always send a PM and I'll always answer. Again, thanks for caring. And as for those guests...well, better left unsaid.

PS: After posting this, read your post, Kathy. Thanks for caring, too.

With Lori being so old, she has to take a break and recuperate sometimes. Give her sometime to catch up her energy, and hopefully return to hang with us young'uns.

Hey Swordz--I've been meaning to write since your surgery. Hope things are going well for you. Sounds like the "unpacking" was almost unbearable!! Hopefully you're on the road to recovery. I'm way older than Lori so I guess you'd think I'm older than dirt!! I tell my kids - "you'll be old someday too---hopefully I'm around to see it!" I love reading your and Lori's jabs....take care- Kathy

I found it always good to dish out before I get that age! Course you know, what goes around come around (I'm screwed when I get old!)

Surgery went well, and wierd still adjusting to not breathing out of my mouth.

Oh, and you can't spell Lori without O-L-D. (I swear thier in there, they might just be silent letters!)

I still think that the guest feature must be changed. It is a license to hurt others, it is a checken way for some to speak their minds and if we got rid of it, we would not always be getting guested. I have no problem with them being able to lurk and read, but we must all be accountable to post. IMHO

Keep it up, baby boy, and you'll be breathing out of somewhere else permanently. Kentucky is not Australia, you know, although plane fares are up lately. But it may be worth the expense just to fly there and kick that baby butt of yours...I have to admit I miss my sparring partner. Glad you're back to your spunky toddler self...I needed to release a little pent up energy. See, you ARE good for something!!!

Read my thoughts exactly...couldn't have said it better myself. Where else on earth can you go around unidentified and wreak havoc on others? Only on the Internet - and it should not be allowed when it doesn't have to be. There is nothing wrong with allowing others who don't want to identify themselves to read and educate themselves all they want, but in order to post they should need to be registered. I will stand behind that, as always, with MY IDENTIFYING SCREEN NAME beside it.

First off, I didn't know you were in Australia. I think gravity affects the mind for those in the southern hemisphere negatively.

You know, I wonder what new people think when they come on here and see us? They probably think we're mortal enemies (which of course we are), but hopefully they know its all fun and jokes... Well, besides you being old. Shall I start looking for a nursing home for you?

There are sites for people like that but I hope this list will not remain one of them. I have been controversal at times and have sparred with a few, but I have always identified myself and put my money where my mouth is. I expect no less from others. Johnny, are you listening??????????

Lori, please keep in touch and showing us your face (or kitty). Friends are made on this list and you are one!

I think making the people register has the pro/con issues. I agree that people should be responcible for what they say, and shouid be clearly identified with thier comments.

But if you make people register, that makes a lot of people shy away. I notice alot of the people that post here are guests, and surely some of that reason is becuase they don't want to deal with the "hassle" of registration.

Complicated sitatuation, and I surely don't have an answer. Whatever happens, I hope the freedom of the unique atmosphere this forum allows stays.
