For Sale: Resmed S9 AutoSet and H5i (Almost New)

Post by stuart1 » Tue Mar 12, 2013 8:06 pm

I have for sale a Resmed S9 AutoSet and H5i. They are in mint condition and have been used for a grand total of 14 hours (as displayed by the on-screen display). Included is the travel bag, A/C adapter, SD card, an unopened ClimateLine tube, and original manuals. They have not been exposed to any cigarette smoke. Asking $600.

Good Luck on selling this, but, I have to tell you that 2 days ago I bought a S9 Autoset/H5i with 130 run hours for $300 on Craigslist. There are 2 more for sale in my area...one for $250 and one for $350.

Guess I missed those deals as I got one with more use than the OP and I paid $525 and was thrilled to get it and the machine was like new. $600 might be a little high but I felt my price was very fair. It was essentially the same as I would have paid for a new, but lesser quality machine.

Good luck!

Craigslist deals are iffy. Sellers often don't have a clue what they are selling and some sellers are downright dishonest.
Sometimes we get lucky and a craigslist seller is local...that's the best option but in some areas the only stuff local is ancient equipment that someone wants what their insurance was billed 10 years ago.
Speaking from my own personal experience with a Craigslist deal that went south real quick. Fortunately I paid by PayPal and I got my money back.

Sometimes peace of mind is worth a lot. Buying from an established forum member, even though you may not meet them face to face, has a lot of value. Besides...sometimes it helps out someone who can also use a break. Seller and buyer alike.

Of course Murphy's law means that next week there might be a really good deal on your machine locally on craigslist.
In my area the ResMed machines are rare and then to find a S9 is even rarer and when one does show up...almost always the S9 Escape and they want $500 for it.
I have run across a couple of good deals on the PR S1 full data machines though and if I have the money to do buy then I buy and pass the deal along to a forum member.

I have bought dozens of things on CL. In every case I physically looked at and touched the item before I bought it. I would NEVER purchase from CL out of my area. In the case of my S9 purchase, the seller actually brought the item to my home (I couldn't believe it). I was able to test it before I bought it.

If by chance anyone IS interested...here are 2 CL ads for S9 Autosets in the SE Wisconsin area...
