Looking for cpap mask made somewhere besides China
Looking for cpap mask made somewhere besides China
I went to get new mask and supplies from new DME, He told me that Resmed was not going to make the Activa nasal mask any more and he had me a Resmed Mirage Fx, I think. Anyway I am pretty sure my old mirage activa was made in Australia, but all the new Resmed and Respironics masks were made in China. Since I won't even buy dishes or glasses made in China, I was not too keen on getting equipment to breath through made in China. I didn't get anything and told them I would do a little research first. Anyone have any info on masks made anywhere besides China and preferably in USA
Re: Looking for cpap mask made somewhere besides China
I believe that most of the Fisher and Paykel masks are still made in New Zealand. I think a few are made in Mexico.

Maybe North Korea, their leader promises all the Hot Air you need, and it's nucular fitted, with Rocket power. Jim

This is absolutely the case. Just because something's made in China doesn't mean it's inferior. Case in point? By whatever measure, iPhones are largely "made in China". Ford Pintos were made in New Jersey, USA.
Everything is dependent upon the quality of the raw materials and the level of quality control, which can vary dramatically from manufacturer to manufacturer. If a manufacturer's products appear to be consistently and well made, odds are they use good materials and a high degree of quality control. In which case, "Made in China" is, in no way, anything to be afraid of.

Seems to me you're potentially disregarding some excellent masks that may work really well for you and therefore compromising your therapy options. Why?

You mean the scare mongering like the recall on Thomas the Tank Engine toys made in China because they were painted with lead paint.ChicagoGranny wrote:She's a victim of scare mongering.

I find it difficult to find any product that isn't from China. It isn't limited to just CPAP items.

I wonder if the anti-china person has a phone, tablet, or computer... oh, wait, wonder where she thinks those are made.
