WiFi SD card?
Re: WiFi SD card?
I have the same issues with my Toshiba card. It worked fine for a week or so after tweaking all those settings, but since then it will die mid-transfer. I have a 802.11s mesh network in the house so the closest AP is only about 15 feet away in the same room. At this point I've kind of given up and I just pop out the card once a week or whenever I want to look at something specific.

Re: WiFi SD card?
Comparing the files transferred with what wasn't transferred, I notice that in each set of files there's at least one 2MB file and it looks like that's where it gets stuck each time. I'm sure that tells me something but I'm not sure what I can do about it.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 12:07 pmRunning out of ideas here/
On your computer, take a look at FlashPAP's target directory, compare what (if any files) are being transferred. Compare them to the files on the FlashAir.
Do you have proper privileges to the target directory?
Any Anti-virus or Firewall getting in the way? Can you temporarily disable or create exceptions?
Otherwise everything else checks out fine. The connection works, pings come in under 10ms. I'm out of ideas now.

Re: WiFi SD card?
I gave up on using FlashPap as it consistently times out.
There is an option to set up a FlashDrive with your WiFi card, which basically creates a folder on your computer. This is always connected. So, I manually copy the data and place into another folder for SleepyHead to read. Not a perfect solution, but it works.

Re: WiFi SD card?
Well, I'm still having the same problem after hours of working on it. The best solution I could find was the map a network drive to it and have SleepyHead import the data through the network drive. It appears to freeze but from what I can tell it does finish the import if I let it chug at it long enough.
Re: WiFi SD card?
Had the same problem and solved it considering:
(1) Flashair only works at 2.4 GHz.
(2) Don't run the router at 40 MHz bandwidth (max. speed 300 Mbit/s), but @20 MHz instead; else the connections are only randomly established and erratically disconnected.
(3) You mustn't use channels above 11, I've fixed channel 6. e.g.
That resolved all connection problems at my place, now I have a stable and reliable connection 24/7.
BTW, using a Mac, I connect to the card via Command-K in the finder.

Re: WiFi SD card?
I now love my flashair card!
I too was struggling at first because I was trying to use my 5ghz WiFi network. As multicast mentioned, these cards only support 2.4 ghz networks @ 20 Mhz bandwidth.
I found that assigning the flashair card a static ip and then adding these network settings to the config is important as well.
Make sure you also set these 5 parameters in the flashair config:
LOCK=1
DNSMODE=1
APPAUTOTIME=0
UPLOAD=1
STA_RETRY_CT=0
In case you're curious you can find all of the available parameters here:
https://www.flashair-developers.com/en/ ... pi/config/
I created a virtual SD Card on my laptop so I have a permanently available target for Flashpap using the instructions from:
https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php? ... Card_Guide - section 'Creating a Virtual SD Card'
http://www.ltr-data.se/opencode.html/#ImDisk - Use ImDisk Virtual Disk Driver to mount the virtual card
When I wake up each morning, I simply login to my laptop, 'Scan FlashAir SD Card' in Flashpap, and 'Copy xPAP data for selected dates.' Rescan thinks that I've inserted an sd card because it recognizes new data and prompts me to download. Then I download the previous night's data into Sleepyhead. Maybe 3 minutes spent; Easy - Peasey!
In case some people are still having issues, my stable, working config is below.
Hope this helps someone else!

Re: WiFi SD card?
On macOS the card appears after Command-K under /Volumes/flashair.local as a volume. Now what for do I need FlashPAP or the like? SH reads the data from that volume directly.
Am I missing something?

Re: WiFi SD card?
Flash pap can be used to copy only changed data to a predefined location on your Mac to keep/backup your data

Re: WiFi SD card?
Thanks a lot, I see. But in SH's preferences under "Import" there's an option not to import session older than a defined date. Does that make a difference?
EDIT: For backups I'm using Carbon Copy Cloner; SH then imports the data from CCC's backup.

Re: WiFi SD card?
Sorry I was away for so long. I had an event to attend this last weekend and got a little side tracked.
I found a solution that works for me. It turns out the biggest part of my issue was just a slow transfer rate. My wifi bridge works fine so the connection is good but it seems like most programs just time out before the big files can make it through.
What ended up working best for me is to map a network drive to the SDcard's webdav address then make a batch file that calls robocopy to mirror the drive in a local folder. From there I can just import from that folder.
Sleepyhead will try to import directly from the mapped network drive but it takes a long time during which it behaves as if it had crashed. But it does eventually get it.
I found that robocopy just works faster and I can actually see the progress that it's making.
Let me know if any of you want to see the batch file I wrote. It's pretty simple but effective.

Re: WiFi SD card?
Here's the batch file that I made to import the data from my WiFi card.
Of course for this to work you need to enable webdav on your card.
