Hi Gilda,

To answer your question about filling backorders, we always fill the backorders in the order they were taken.

I appreciate all of your interest in this interface.

Regards,

Ted

Janelle,

The aura head gear is made out a hard rubber type material and feels like a baseball cap when on. The hard rubber has little circular raised pads on the bottom. The "lock box" is made out of thin hard plastic an it very light. It really has no affect on what you feel when you wear it since the rubber headgear continues underneath it. I can't say whether or not this head gear will cause problems with your hair. I can say that it does not move around much, so maybe it would be fine in regard to you hair concerns.
Sincerely,

One clarification I'd add to your excellent description of the headgear, Wader - "hard" rubber sounds uncomfortable. Seems more like thick, flexible rubber headgear to me. Very comfortable to wear, as you said.

The "lockbox" (lockbox sound uncomfortable too, doesn't it, but I can't help myself - love that description of it! lol ) sits on my hair and hasn't caused any breakage or thinning there - at least not during my first week of using the Aura. But, I never had any hair breakage wearing the Breeze almost every night for a year or the Swift occasionally, so...... dunno what the various kinds of headgear are doing to your hair, Janelle.

I noticed some slow-but-sure thinning of my hair for several years BEFORE I ever started using cpap treatment. I attributed that to age related hormone changes. If I had happened to have started using cpap during those years, I'd have definitely thought cpap headgear was causing my hair to become thinner when I saw the increased amount of hair in my hairbrush each morning.

Luckily, I haven't noticed any increased hair thinning or breakage since using cpap headgear of all different types. But I don't doubt that wear and tear on one area of hair certainly could cause breakage, thinning, whatever. Perhaps regularly alternating between two or three good interfaces could slow that down if a person can't find one that eliminates any hair problem at all.

Hi all,
I ordered an Aura from Becky yesterday (on Waddler and RG's recommendation, so you guys better be right about this - or I'll come after you to get my money back! ) on the assumption that there was a shippment due.
But then I reread Johnny's post, and it seems to say that the next shipment will not arrive on Tuesday, in fact it seems to imply that they don't know when it will come. Can anyone clarify for me?

derek,

As I reread Johnny's post, I think you are right. Sorry if my post, prompting forum readers to get in on this batch mislead anyone. One consolation is that I have yet to see anybody else offering them for sale online. I will say they are worth the wait.
Sincerely,

Just placed an order yesterday (even though I knew it was back ordered). Today I noticed the price went up; so I called to see if my order was locked in at the lower price (it is!). She (oops- forgot her name) confirmed the back order and said they were expecting them in on Mar 21. She didn't indicate if this was tentative or firm, or how many they expected to receive.

Has anyone else heard anything different?

Hello All,

We are happy to see so many people like this mask, and we are working to make it available ASAP.

Aeiomed has told us our order will be delivered on 3-22-05. We have since made another order. That delivery date is still a little vague, due to demand and manufacturing delays (can't make them fast enough) but we hope to keep from getting in another back order situation after the 22nd.

We will fill back orders in the order they were received, starting with the oldest order first (you know who you are). We are hopeful that all current back orders will be shipped to our customers on 3-22-05, but we simply won't know until we receive the product in our hands.

We try to manage expectations with our customers using only promises of a delivery date from the manufacturer. If you would like one of these masks, I suggest you place your order and get in line. We will not charge you until it is ready to ship, but once it has been shipped you will receive a confirmation email including your tracking number.
