Scalp reaction to headgear????

Post by cjbogie41 » Sun Sep 01, 2024 3:30 pm

I have been battling a scalp condition that only activates when I put my head gear on. I've tried several straps but to no avail. It does not occur every night but sometimes ends up with many acne-like pimples that itch. I've tried applying the headgear material to other areas of my skin to see if I can get a reaction but nothing. I've seen two dermatologists and an Infectious Disease physician and tried a multitude of shampoos, lotions, steroids, antibiotics and nothing works. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Thank you.

Have you tried something like the offerings that Pad A Cheek has or is it a reaction due to pressure?

Have tried changing the soap you use for washing the headgear?

I had a reactive response to the first mask I ever used. Then I read masks should be washed before first use (this was in 2005). And thats what I do.

You will aso find instructions to wash the headgear before first use.

Also:
There's a mask (actually two) that needs no headgear.

Is wearing a skullcap under the headgear feasible?
