22 Centrals AHI, on BiPaP, What to change?

Post by Exchanged » Wed Dec 04, 2024 10:01 am

Hello, I am currently on a Resmed BiPap Vauto. I had surgery 2 weeks ago and was advised to lower both IPap and Epap as the stomach affected my stomach and they didn't want me swallowing too much air to expand it.<br/>

Is there anything I can do to address this with a BiPaP? I have tried "Trigger Very High" in the past but from mixed things I've seen that just trick the data?

Thanks for any help:

The chart you posted is for 45 minutes of time on the machine, and it looks like you were probably awake the whole time. Do you think that's true? If so, the CAs are meaningless.

Is your stomach getting distended with air? If it isn't, then that issue doesn't call for any changes to your settings. If it is, I'd recommend lowering your minimum EPAP to 4 and your PS to 3 and your maximum IPAP to 7. It'd be an experiment.
