Airsense11 Software update

Post by Centennial1 » Thu Jan 11, 2024 1:46 pm

On my cpap today (1/11/24) was a message to the effect that the software was just updated.

Normally, manufacturer's update their software to provide additional functionality or correct bugs.

Do any other members know what was updated or why?

This machine has been in-service for about a year and a half.

Pushed 12/11/2023
Resmed: "Complete previous feature roll-out and deliver important foundational enhancements for future product releases."

If you don't like it, trade for a Respironics.

Not many members here have the Airsense 11 yet so it's *Like Walking in the DARK* to help or give answers.

The details are not as important as the fact that an update has occurred.
The update would not be done if it were not beneficial.
Since it is Resmed, I would not be concerned.

Can anyone confirm if the software update (North American version) is for the life of the machine or just during the warranty?

If you are asking whether the software reverts to the previous state when the warranty expires, the answer is no.

No. I am not asking that.

Will the machine continue to receive OTA updates during its lifecycle or will it end once the warranty expires.

Updates will come as long as you have a cell connection. This process does not end when the warranty expires.

Updates will come as long as you stay registered with the myAir app or myAir online. This process does not end when the warranty expires.
Agree with receiving OTA updates being received during the life of the device, so long as a cell connection is present.
Disagree with it being tied to MyAir registration.

Having said that, only ResMed can confirm how long OTA updates will be pushed.

+1 I'll correct it.

Rules in Canada are very different. Warranty is 3 years while in the USA and most other parts it's 2.

Should your DME close shop, you're out of luck since 99% of the DMEs won't assist you unless you purchase a new machine. ResMed deflects back to your DME. Should you ask again all they will do is avoid the question and provide you with a list of DMEs that carry ResMed which isn't helpful.

The topic is updates. Your original question gets the same answer for Canada and US.
