[Resolved] Location of Replacement Parts in Colorado

Post by Skuddle » Wed Dec 18, 2024 5:37 pm

New user here -

I needed a replacement nasal cushion but when I called my DME (Rotech) I was told that they do not stock any replacement equipment or parts. I was also told to call SleepCentral. SleepCentral is in Kentucky, I'm in Colorado. Is my only recourse for replacements in Kentucky or is there another DME in Colorado that can help me?

Are you wanting to use your insurance to pay for the replacement?
If so, you need to check with your insurance company first and find out who is in network with your insurance and then figure out if they have what you want.

If you don't need or want to file insurance there are any number of sellers online.

And if you look hard (and check with your insurance) there are even some online sellers who will file insurance for you in lieu of up front payment by you for the product.

Sleep Central is Rotech's name for their supplies outlet. If you use them, they are Rotech. I have used many DMEs since 2008. Some were great, some weren't. I have been pretty satisfied with Rotech and Sleep Central overall. Medicare has a lot to say about who provides your equipment and supplies and of the DMEs I have used since going on Medicare, I have had the least trouble with Rotech and Sleep Central.

@ Pugsy

I'm using Medicare and United Health to pay for my CPAP machine.

@ deerhound

Thanks for the clarification, Dale. Looks like I got SleepCentral's and Rotech's roles reversed! I think I'll just keep dealing with SleepCentral instead of with Rotech.
