That said, any increase in bad leak or decrease in therapy effectiveness would make me consider replacing parts as a logical step fairly early in any troubleshooting process. The therapy is too important to me to be overly cheap/frugal about it.
Same here.

Thanks Pugsy. No it does not wake me and it is never over 30-35. I am going to quit worrying about it. I will change my hose and see if that helps. Have a good day.
If you are using the F40, make sure you set your CPAP to Pillows. If it's set on Full Face, it'll blow more air causing leaks and Noises. I found out early and have had 1-5 LPH according to MyAir.

Changes of gear:

New filter each month

Mask cushion each month. I wish I could have afforded to change out the F20 cushion every two weeks. The silicone lost its elasticity after two weeks. I've had better luck with the F40 not having to cinch the straps so tight to get a seal.

Headgear and mask last six months to a year.

Water tank six months.

The heated tube six months to a year.

New CPAP machine every 5 years.

I've had to replace my SD card once after six years of use. (not sure why it failed)

In my 20 or so years using a cPAP I have never followed the schedule the equipment providers suggest. My last order was probably placed a year and a half ago. I have now bought an air mini and will need to start all over again with the filters and other things that are unique to this machine. I will just wait for a sale to load up on things I'll need then get them.

I replace things when they (1) show stretch marks, tears, discoloration, inelasticity, failure of velcro to hold, etc., (2) when there is discoloration or any hint of odor, or (3) when there is leaking or the quality of the seal is compromised.
