yes, all resmed tanks with the white grips are dishwasher safe (10, and 11).

Being dishwasher safe is not the reason you can use regular bottled (or tap) water.

Any tank can use any (drinkable) water, it's all about cleaning convienance.

Many people use distilled water. But bottled (not distilled) water does not have an advantage over tap water. Mineral water is worse than tap water.

The gray grips are listed as Dishwasher Safe. The white grips are not specified as dishwasher safe.

While it's best to use distilled water, you can use any potable water except carbonated, colored, or flavored. You'll likely get a residue, but that can be cleaned with vinegar.

I never gave it a thought, but I am guessing that using sparkling water would be off-gassing CO2.
