Two Airsense 10 questions
Two Airsense 10 questions
Hi folks, been a while!
Two AS 10 questions if anyone knows and is inclined to answer:
From seemingly out of nowhere my machine will sometimes decide to shut itself off (literally), and four or five seconds later start back up again Otherwise the machine runs just fine. Could this be related to a larger leak than the machine likes maybe, and would it then start itself back up in a few seconds? I do have auto start/stop enabled with no ramp time. No pets and the machine is not overheating far as I can tell. I do have it on an extension cord if that matters.
Secondly, I have another AS10 machine that rattles a bit when you pick it up and tilt it around. Kinda like there’s something in the housing moving around loose. Seems most noticeable with the hose and humidifier tank removed. Otherwise the machine seems to run fine too.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Two Airsense 10 questions
Most definitely a large leak could cause the machine to turn off and restart itself.
You can use available software and see what the leak was doing when the machine turned itself off.
It can sure do that though when we use SmartStart enabled.
I didn't see a number 2 question in your mention of the other machine with a rattle. What were you wondering about it?

Re: Two Airsense 10 questions
Thank you Pugsy, I was actually wondering about the rattle noise itself. I realize the noise isn’t keyboard transmissible but it isn’t major, it’s just there. Sort of a plastic on plastic sound. I have several other AS10 machines that don’t make any similar noise.Pugsy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 1:39 pmMost definitely a large leak could cause the machine to turn off and restart itself.

Re: Two Airsense 10 questions
Sorry but I have no idea about any rattles.
Not normal though. Have used a couple of AirSense 10 models as well as 3 AirCurve 10 models and I have never experienced it.
If you take the water chamber totally out and then handle the machine does it still rattle?

Re: Two Airsense 10 questions
Actually yes, that seems to be when it’s most noticeable. Well that and removing the hose off the back.

Sorry, I don't have any ideas about the rattle.
Maybe someone else does.

Re: Two Airsense 10 questions
Take the machine apart, and find the loose/broken part, or at least determine which internal part is rattling.
Assuming, somebody had a suggestion, the solution would have meant taking the machine apart to solve. So just take it apart.
About, it turning on occasionally. My Air10 does this occasionally, I *believe* it's related to the SmartStart (Auto on) feature. It would turn on occasionally when I toss the mask assign on my bed. I think the P30i mask, if folding over and forcing a slight puff of air back down the tube and SmartStart is interpreting that as a breath.
It never happens, when SmartStart is off.

Re: Two Airsense 10 questions
My AirSense 10 was/is extremely sensitive with the SmartStart function turned on.
It seemed to turn on and off randomly, so I just turned that function off and start the machine manually when I have my mask on.
