Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in your CPAP?
Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in your CPAP?
I have a step uncle who's an entrepreneur/inventor. He has a mind like NIkola Telsa or Tony Stark, (I'm showing my Geek, sorry ) and is always coming up with brillant, sometimes slightly crazy ideas. He's also a millionaire so I tend to pay attention to what he has to say. He claims that by putting a few drops of food grade H2O2 in his CPAP, it not only helps keep it clean, but also helps increase your oxygen level at night, and prevent colds and flu to some extent. I don't know much more than this as I got this idea from him last night at a wedding reception while trying to hold a conversation over very loud music.
Food Grade H2O2 is not the stuff you use for sterilizing cuts. the stuff you get at the pharmacy has heavy metals and other icky stuff in it that's not good to drink or breath. It's pure water with H2O2 in it, which will naturally break down into water and oxygen over time. I knew this before I talked to my uncle, which is why his claim makes sense to me. You can usually order it online or if your lucky get it at health food stores.
So, I'd like to know if anyone else has ever heard of it or tried it? Do you think it's safe? My biggest concern is I seem to remember too much oxygen can be harmful. I'd appreciate any advice anyone can offer.
Thanks!

By putting a couple of drops of peroxide in a dehumidifier chamber full with water you're talking then about how many parts per millions of drops of waters? Can you calculate it or ask your uncle to help you.

Re: Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in your CPAP?
Alright, I've done some research. Food grade H2O2 is typically sold as a 35% solution, at this concentration it can actually burn your skin. It's recommended to dilute it to 3% (One ounce to 11 ounces of distilled water) for external use. My uncle was recommending mixing one ounce of the 35% with a gallon of distilled water for use in the cpap. That's like 0.5 percent I think?

You say it is for 'external use'. I would hesitate breathing it into my lungs and throat.Evolution13 wrote:Alright, I've done some research. The Many Benefits of Hydrogen Peroxide
http://educate-yourself.org/cancer/bene ... ul03.shtml
Excerpt:
Emphysema
Let's look at several conditions that seem to respond especially well to H202 therapy. First, keep in mind that there are two methods of administering the peroxide-1) orally and 2) intravenously. While most conditions respond remarkably to oral ingestion, emphysema is one condition in which intravenous infusion can be a godsend. Emphysema involves destruction of the alveoli (the small air sacs in the lungs). Although chemical fumes and other irritants can cause the destruction, it is most often the result of smoking. As the disease progresses, the patient finds it more and more difficult to breathe. A wheel chair and supplemental oxygen become necessary as the disease progresses. Lack of adequate oxygen reaching the tissues forces the heart to pump more forcefully. This leads to high blood pressure, enlargement of the heart itself and eventually heart failure. Conventional medicine offers little help for emphysema. There is no cure. The best that can be hoped for is symptomatic relief and the prevention of any serious complications that might result in death. H202 therapy can offer more. Using 1 ounce of 35% peroxide per 1 gallon of non-chlorinated water in a vaporizer improves nighttime breathing tremendously. But intravenous infusion holds the real key to relief. It has the ability to cleanse the inner lining of the lungs and restore the ability to breathe.
We continue to hear the same story from Dr. Farr and others who use intravenous infusion for emphysema and congestive lung problems. Within minutes oxygen from hydrogen peroxide begins to bubble up between the membrane lining the lungs sacs and the accumulated mucus. (Dr. Farr refers to this as the "Alka-Seltzer effect.") The patient begins to cough and expel the material that has accumulated in the lungs. The amount of bubbling, coughing, and cleansing can be regulated by simply turning the H202 on and off. As the peroxide clears the lung surface and destroys the bacterial infections, the patient regains the ability to breath more normally. We continue to receive reports from patients for whom the technique has improved breathing so much that a wheelchair and supplemental oxygen are no longer needed. If you would like to find a doctor in your area trained in the use of intravenous H202 infusion, contact the International Bio-Oxidative Medicine Foundation (IBOM), P.O. Box 13205, Oklahoma City, OK 73113 at (405) 478-4266. They can provide names and addresses of doctors using the procedure in your area.

Let's see now... 1 ounce of 3% in a gallon would give you about 0.02%. That's 200 PPM in the gallon of water.

Re: Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in your CPAP?
Geez, avi, you quote that site like it's a medical journal.avi123 wrote:The Many Benefits of Hydrogen Peroxide
http://educate-yourself.org/cancer/bene ... ul03.shtml
Let's see. That web site discusses:
1) Government mind control.
2) Chemtrails.
3) "Forbidden cures".
4) New world order conspiracy.
5) Dowsing.
6) Insights on Zeta Reticulans and other Alien Groups.
7) Water supply sabotage conspiracy.
8) The Bush family and Nazis
9) Aliens are coming
10) Swine flu hoax
11) Prevent Alien/Demonic attacks
Here's another quote from that web site.
"We can access higher frequency vibrational planes of consciousness through varied means- meditation, psychedelic drugs, clairvoyance, medium ship, remote viewing, etc. Some means may be harmful or dangerous for some people, while other techniques require natural gifts, and yet others require a lot of training to become competent in.
Dowsing, on the other hand, is one of the easiest ways to access a repository of unlimited knowledge, referred to by Carl Jung as the "collective unconscious" or the "super conscious mind". Based on the books I've studied and the workshops I've taken with master dowser Walt Woods, I get the idea that you are gaining access to this library of unlimited knowledge through your Higher Self - with the least amount of time invested in study and training. Many people think that dowsing is only used for the purpose of finding water or minerals, but dowsing can be used to obtain ANSWERS and information about anything, providing you frame the question correctly. "
Peroxide, even if it's absolutely free of contaminants, is a stupid thing to put in your humidifier. The air you breathe is over 20% oxygen. Even if a humidifier full of pure H2O2 converted to oxygen overnight, you won't generate enough oxygen to make a difference.
There is some germ killing property to peroxide, but only in concentrations high enough to be hazardous to human tissues.
Who knows though? Maybe it H2O2 prevents alien and demonic attacks and counteracts the chemicals the government is spraying on you from airplanes.

I am surprised that site did not mention http://www.radonmine.com/
A good site to fact check therapies is http://www.quackwatch.com/
Now I don't advocate anything as pure truth on any site, you need to educate yourself and consult your doctor before starting any therapy or treatment.

legitimate researchers never would get a letter like this one sent to dr farr and his company from the fda. this is the top hit when you search for International Bio-Oxidative Medicine Foundation

Re: Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in your CPAP?
I was googling around and found this blog, because I put a few capfulls of peroxide in my cpap reservoir last night. I felt half way decent, which is pretty rare for me.
Re: Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in your CPAP?
from 2006 to 2014 I was hospitalized at least 2 to 3 ties a year for pneumonia. I read 1 minute cure book and decided to try 35%hydroperoxide cure. I went thru ingesting formula and read about using in vaporizer. For some reason I decided to try it in my nebulizer instead as I was using it 4 times a day. since then I have been mixing my own at 3-5 proximity and adding to my nebulizer even with the iprotropiun/albuterol in it. lots of times days with only perozide. January 4 2018 will be 4 years since my last hospitalization for pneumonia! at all of my 3 month check ups my dr,s read my lungs and never say a word. I asked one if he wanted to know what I was doing. he never said a word. what u thinkl?
