Weird Night
Weird Night
Last night when I went to bed, I put on my pap nasal mask as normal, then remembered I needed to set the alarm, to go to the Dr.
I unmasked, got up and got my glasses, took 10 minutes to program the clock, put on my mask again, went to sleep. leaks were hard to control. I rolled face down finally, I woke up with nosepain after 1.5 hours of restless sleep, felt my face and found out, I had put my mask on over my eyeglasses. In half stupor, it took a minute to figure out I'd have remove the mask to getter glasses off.
Ended up with a bruised nose And a dumb feeling. Jim

Re: Weird Night
Hey Jim,
You know... I did the same kinda thing recently with my ResMed Mirage Quattro FFM! There I was masked up, and my wife walked into our bedroom and looked at me funny... "Hey bozo!" she said, "What's with the glasses?" Only then, did I realize that I had set the alarm with my glasses on, then masked up with my glasses still on my nose... it is to laugh!
Thanks for sharing,
Phil

Re: Weird Night
Jim,
You were probably just extremely tired, not dumb . I almost did the same thing as you and Phil one night but I discovered that my glasses were on after I had put on my chin strap, but before I put on my nasal mask. Fortunately, the glasses were still easy to get off while wearing the chin strap. Now when going to bed I leave my glasses on the bathroom sink...

Re: Weird Night
I've done the opposite just last night. When traveling, I use an Onyx eye shield to block out light in the room. It's hilarious (apparently) to watch me try to put the thing on AFTER the mask is on.
Hang in there!

Re: Weird Night
I had a weird one two nights ago - i go to sleep with a dental appliance, my mouth taped and an FX nasal pillow - I woke up in the morning with everything off and the machine turned off - i have no memory of doing any of it - and it is really hard to get the dental appliance off as it is on really tight, you need to pry it off with your finger tips. When i checked the machine i turned it off after 3.5 hours of therapy with an ahi of 1.5 (really low for me) and no sign of any problem

Ohhh....I'd think that'd be really uncomfortable.Goofproof wrote:Last night when I went to bed, I put on my pap nasal mask as normal, then remembered I needed to set the alarm, to go to the Dr.

Re: Weird Night
I've done it a couple times; once I did remove my glasses without removing my Comfortgel Full face mask.
It was kind of like separating a 3D puzzle.
