Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread
One week in, and I'm still loving this new mask! Comfortable, great fit, no leaks! And no getting nudged by my wife and asked to roll over due to my blowing cold air in her face

It's really just a question of your honesty.Hawthorne wrote:Sludge - I am banned then.
Yeah, your honesty.

Sludge -my honesty????? I have no idea what you mean by that at all. I'm don't like you questioning my honesty, since you don't even know me, if that's what you mean.
I would have PMed you, since this has nothing to do with cpap or this thread, but you don't seem to allow PMs.

Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread
Sounds like a mask I would like.
Other than my first 30 days (18 months ago) with a True Blue Nasal mask, all the rest of my time has been with an Aloha, which I like very much. I find it comfortable, and rarely leaks.
The only two things that could be be better for me are:
1) Less noise and air pressure from the exhaust, which it sounds like the AirFit P10 takes care of,
and
2) Less need to flip the exhaust hose from side to side when I turn from side to side. I imagine a wake up a little bit each night 4-5 times when I switch sides, but it does not usually bother me. If when I turned from side to side, I didn't feel the need to do this (mask stayed in place, exhaust not suddenly chilling me), that would be a nice benefit.
I don't know that I would give up the otherwise great features of the Aloha, though. I guess I'll have to try it. I've been buying my Aloha's from CPAP.COM as they are a great vendor, and my DME does not stock them. My DME seems to only carry masks from the Bit Two (PR, and Res Med) so maybe they will carry this one. Of course, it isn't worth going to my DME unless I use up my deductible elsewhere. (Colonoscopy, here I come).

Hawthorne - Sludge is just quoting Rush lyrics at you.
Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread
teleute - Thanks, but since I don't know Rush, I am not amused - just annoyed. He should be careful if he doesn't know the person he is taking to with that kind of comment.

Sludge - why are you doing this? I have never put anyone on my foes list but I am certainly tempted now.
You are really interfering with this thread with your nonsense and at my expense.
Please stop! Maybe I just have to stop responding to you.
If you have anything to offer to the subject of this thread, please feel free - but leave me alone.

Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread
Pugsey and the other forum members in this thread have given great info and opinions for the Resmed Airfit P10! Years ago it was a guessing game when it came to trying a new mask! Then this forum was started by our host, about 2004 (I and some of the other "old-timers") joined around then, and it became so much easier to get some info from other members about masks, machines etc! I have also been a customer of Johnny's father since he started, and the information they provide on thier web-site to help us choose what we need, has just gotten better and better---They have been so great over the years and even though I must get some of my supplies from an ("Approved DME") by my insurance now, I still buy what I can from them when I can or out of pocket!
Back to the Airfit P10: After using the Swift line of masks since 2005, the Aloha off and on the last couple of years, I now use a full face mask off and on with the Airfit P10 in between! Almost always I would sleep about 4 to 6 hours a night and when I woke up at 4 or 5am or so I couldn"t wait to get the mask off---and that was it for the night, I usually got up! But when I used the Airfit P10 about 4 of the last 6 nights--it has been so comfortable and leak free, that any time I get up, during the night or in the morning, I go back put the P10 back on and sleep another few hours----what a diference that makes!
And a few nights my wife said "why didn't you use your mask last night?! Yes it's that quiet and I can now sleep on the side facing her!
As I said in another post, I no longer have to use my velcro fix I came up with back in 2005 that I have used on every pillows mask since then. That fix is no longer needed with the Airfit P10, as the P10 stays put no matter what position I move to during the night!
So---to sum it up (In my opinion) The Airfit P10 is:
The BEST mask I have ever used---for anyone who uses "Pillow Type" masks!
Just a beautiful design, simple, comfortable, leak-free, and so lite on your face!
TIP: Resmed has thought of everything when designing this mask-----so for the people who said they have trouble in the dark getting the mask back on right-----Resmed has the "logo" with raised letters on the top front of the mask which you can feel in the dark and all you have to do is place the pillows in your nostrals and place the headgear on your head--Simple!
I was able to get the P10 a few days after it's release, and for me it became the Best Mask to ever come down the pike--when I use a pillow mask----so good that I ordered another one out of pocket from our host for travel and of course it was shipped at once and I wll receive it tomorrow! Also Johnny is offering free shipping, a container of wipes for 1 cent, and free mask insurance----so anyone who uses a "pillow type interface----What do you have to lose? I think you may be very suprised how good it is!
Hope this Helps!

Sludge - I know you feel you are having fun. I'm not. I am interested in this topic and am trying to follow it. My choice now is to ignore your juvenile harassment.
You don't have the courage to allow PMs so I can't contact you privately and not keep interrupting this thread so I will not respond to you again. Please extend me the same courtesy.

It is my experience that he will quit if you just stop responding to him. Everyone here can see his posts are intended to distract from this topic, and now so are your posts. Just ignore him and he will quit sooner than you think.Hawthorne wrote:Sludge - I know you feel you are having fun. I'm not. I am interested in this topic and am trying to follow it. You're right of course bavinck. I have decided that he should be ignored. I certainly don't want to distract from the topic and I will not be part of that.
Back to the topic at hand. it's what's important here.
Thanks.
