**Please write your Authorization number on the outside of the package before shipping**
**Note, your return must be received by day 45 from date of purchase to qualify for refund**
**It is recommended that return shipments are sent “Registered Mail” to ensure timely delivery within the required Terms and Conditions of return**

Can't recommend Good Morning Snore Solution
Can't recommend Good Morning Snore Solution
For those who are still looking for means to a better sleep... I tried the Good Morning Snore Solution -- can't recommend it to anyone from my experience: doesn't really seal the mouth. But if somebody does like the insanely overpriced piece of rubber, you can try the following trick, send an email to their customer service as if you are to return the item:

Re: Can't recommend Good Morning Snore Solution
Snoring does not mean you have OSA (tho' it's more likely), and not snoring doesn't mean you don't have OSA, plus anti-snore devices (if they work at all) only cure snoring, but not OSA because apneas are the result of throat obstruction, not nasal obstruction, though occasionally helping nasal conditions (surgically or otherwise) may also help OSA.
Re: Can't recommend Good Morning Snore Solution
I rather hoped to have it as something that can block my mouth leak. Taping didn't really work ("chipmunk" effect)Julie wrote:Snoring does not mean you have OSA (tho' it's more likely), and not snoring doesn't mean you don't have OSA, plus anti-snore devices (if they work at all) only cure snoring, but not OSA because apneas are the result of throat obstruction, not nasal obstruction, though occasionally helping nasal conditions (surgically or otherwise) may also help OSA.

If your FF mask doesn't fit well, have you tried others? Or possibly added PadaCheek liners?
Re: Can't recommend Good Morning Snore Solution
PadaCheek makes leaking worse. Besides, FFM itself does not prevent mouth opening. And even if FFM fits well, my mouth runs dry anyway.Julie wrote:If your FF mask doesn't fit well, have you tried others? Or possibly added PadaCheek liners?

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Interesting... do you combine CPAP and MAD? Either of them alone is not sufficient, but the combination works, does it not?grayghost4 wrote:I have not tried this one but it looks like it might work:

I have ordered a NoseBreathe device that claims to position tongue at the mouth's roof top to force nose only breathing which I intend to try with a nasal mask only.

I ordered one of those from Dr. Sue years ago. It's still in a drawer somewhere.tan wrote:NoseBreathe device that claims to position tongue at the mouth's roof top to force nose only breathing which I intend to try with a nasal mask only.
It did not work for me. I hope it works for you. Maybe you can let us know.

I was using it with CPAP in hopes of preventing dry mouth. It did not.

Thanks for sharing. Did you have leaks anyway then? I take it you didn't return the for a refund, did you?Midnight Strangler wrote:I was using it with CPAP in hopes of preventing dry mouth. It did not.

I did use both for a while cpap set on 4 cm .... I went this route because I am a back sleeper and have trouble when on my back. I can now sleep on my back without snoring.
I no longer use the cpap with the MAD ... but I will alternate some times for a deversion
I go next week for a sleep study and titration of the device. The one I have is adjustable
I started with cheep $3 boil and bite snorestopper from Ebay and it worked good, so I had the new one made.

Although a snore-stop device may be of some use for non-symptomatic snoring,
to represent it for treatment of apnea would be not only irresponsible, but criminal!

Re: Can't recommend Good Morning Snore Solution
If a device can move tongue forward far enough to sufficiently alleviate the obstruction, I would say it could be used to treat apnea. Simple doesn't mean ineffective. YMMVchunkyfrog wrote:Although a snore-stop device may be of some use for non-symptomatic snoring,

Re: Can't recommend Good Morning Snore Solution
I would not recommend it as a substitute for proven treatment, but as an aid to tell weather holding your lower jaw forward will help with cpap treatment.
The boil and bite plastic device can be set with you lower jaw forward as much as is comfortable for you and cooled in that position. using that with a head band or tape to keep the mouth closed along with cpap. It immediately lower my AHI, and allowed me to sleep on my back.

Re: Can't recommend Good Morning Snore Solution
It amazes me, the effort people will goto to, not sucessfully treat their sleep apnea. Any amount of money, and wasted effort, just to keep stroking in De-Nile.
If half the effort was put into using XPAP correctly (Correctly, many use it incorrectly.), the first obstacle to overcome is the "Can't syndrome". Overcome that and the rest becomes doable. Jim
