Washing CPAP Equipment Travel Bags

Post by 2 B Sleeping Soundly » Mon Jan 16, 2012 1:41 pm

I was wondering about the success or failure anyone here has had with washing there CPAP travel bag. I have not moved mine from under my nightstand/table for over 2 months. It is covered in a very dusty layer and I had thoughts about washing it, either by hand or washing machine, but wanted to check here first to see what others have done.

I did a search and found no results on previous posts about this.

Thanks,

John

My bag is vinyl and nylon. I vacuum the inside, then wipe both inside and outside with a damp rag or paper towel.

I think I would do as the previous poster. Please don't put in the washer. Maybe store it in a box or plastic bag after you clean the thing.

If you can't vacuum it, take the bag outside to shed the dust off it.

I learned many years ago, working in a "clean room" where particle contamination is forbidden that a vacuum is the preferred way to remove dust etc. Anything else simply spreads the contamination around, only to come back.
