Ok so someone on this forum regarding questions about air leaks told me to look further into the data using Oscar because I replaced the head straps and mask, and cleaned all the equipment that can be cleaned. I use the F20 mask because sadly my face is a little too small for the other model. Anyway, I downloaded the program today and while the SD card shows up on my PC under "devices and printers", it doesn't show up as storage drive D in my file explorer or on Oscar. I even created a shortcut to my desktop but it's not showing up there either when I go to open the file location, so Oscar can't read the SD card. I have an SD card reader for my computer but it never shows up on Oscar, making the software for me useless. On Wikipedia it says that the software is limited and shouldn't be used with Oscar but I don't know how else to get accurate information. My machine tells me that there's 30L of air leaks at night which was never an issue before and I've given up trying to solve the problem because I've tried everything. I even bought a CPAP pillow but there's still air leaks now (despite replacing the mask and hear gear, not the frame as it's still in good shape).
Is there any way to get the Airsense 11 to work with Oscar? There's no way to import the data from the machine to the computer as there are no USB outlets on the machine itself, only the power outlet so that the machine can turn on. All of the information is up to date on my machine including the current date and time. I figured out how to access further settings on the machine itself. For the Airsense 10, you press and hold the big middle knob button. For the Airsense 11, press and hold both options on the touch screen.

Re: I can't import data from Airsense 11 (newest model) after using Oscar for the first time
Other posters have shown OSCAR data for their Airsense 11 machines. So I suspect the problem is either with the SD card itself possibly being corrupt or with your computer.
I've been a Mac person for over 30+ years now. So I can't help you troubleshoot why your PC. I would suggest letting the forum know exactly what version of Windows you are using and exactly how it shows up under "devices and printers". (A screen shot would be of great use for troubleshooting your issue.)
If you use the SD card reader, can the operating system see the contents on the SD card? If so, then one option is to copy those contents to a folder in your home folder and use OSCAR's "choose folder" option for selecting the folder you copied the SD card's contents to. That's not a good fix or a permanent fix for your problem, but it may be a decent enough work-around solution until you get better advice from someone who uses PCs all the time.
Good. That means you are not totally in the dark. All of the information is up to date on my machine [Airsense 11?- including the current date and time. I figured out how to access further settings on the machine itself. For the Airsense 11, press and hold both options on the touch screen.
Now you state that the Airsense 11 is saying that your leak number is 30 L/min. The leak number reported on the Airsense's LCD is the 95% leak rate. What that means is that your unintentional leaks are AT or BELOW 30 L/min for 95% of the time the machine was running. And your leaks were AT or ABOVE 30 L/min for 5% of the time the machine was running. If Mr. Green Smiley Face showed up in the "Mask Fit" part of the on-board "sleep report", then that indicates that your leak rate was LESS THAN 24 L/min for at least 70% of the night.
Whether a 95% leak rate of 30 L/min is problematic or not really depends on three things:
1) Did Mr. Green Smiley Face or Mr. Red Frowny Face show up in the "Mask Fit" part of the on-board "sleep report"?
2) Do you remember waking up and fighting with leaks during the night? If so, how much did the leaks interfere with your ability to get back to sleep?
3) Do you have any problems with waking up with a super dry mouth? Or were your eyes feeling dried out when you first woke up? Either of these can indicate that you've got a leak problem serious enough to troubleshoot because no-one wants to wake up with cotton mouth or sandpaper eyes.

Re: I can't import data from Airsense 11 (newest model) after using Oscar for the first time
Thanks for the tip! I forgot that just because the machine says that there's an air leak doesn't mean that it was actually leaking that much or that it was that bad. The odd thing is that according to the machine, it says "your mask seal was great last night." So that's a little confusing information to be honest. I do feel tired initially upon waking up (not nearly as much as I used to) but I'm guessing that's normal and I'm also a shift worker so there's that. I do not wake up with irritated eyes or a dry mouth. I only experience dry mouth when I've been sleeping for 7-8 hours and the water tank runs super low. I don't get woken up by air pressure at all nor do I notice it when I do wake up throughout the night. So I guess the seal is good then? I do sometimes have to briefly lift the mask to scratch my face when it gets itchy (especially my nose due to allergy season). But I've never had a leak while I'm awake. I've woken up with a brief leak or heard one when I dip my head into the pillow but I'm quick to fix it. So perhaps it's actually a small leak that occurs while I'm asleep then.

This has to be fixed before you can use the SD reader. What model of computer? What OS? What model of SD reader? If there are multiple slots on the SD reader then you may have inserted the card into the wrong slot... the file system won't see the SD card until it's in the reader properly. All SD readers I'm familiar with don't need extra drivers to work, they're 'plug n play'.
I just tried two different SD readers... one gives 'USB Drive F' etc when plugged in with no card, the other one is silent until a card is plugged in. This is in both Devices and File Explorer. You can also watch stuff happen in Device Manager under Disk Drives:.
Try the adapter without the SD card installed... see if you get any OS dialog or 'bding-bdong' noise. Then plug the SD card and see if you get a Drive F: or whatever come up. This Should Just Frickin' Work, so something's awry. What size is the SD card in gB?

I have Windows 10 OS currently. I've inserted the SD slot into the card reader with different sides of the bottom in the slot and the card always shows up on my pc in the printers and other devices. Perhaps it's the card reader? But there's only one end to insert the SD card into the reader. I can see that the device should show up as a "D" file but it's greyed out. I've got a micro and a regular sized SD card reader. SD card reader is called Vanja - got it off of amazon. I'll try different USB slots but I doubt that'll make a difference.vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:00 pmThis has to be fixed before you can use the SD reader. What model of computer? Not surprising at all if you understand both the meaning of a "95 percentile" number and the way Resmed decides when show Mr. Green Smiley Face with his happy message that "your mask seal was great last night".TinyTot87 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 8:54 pmThanks for the tip! Briefly the 95% leak rate number is a 95 percentile statistic. I wrote a post about that on an old blog that I used to keep when I was still posting here as "robysue" instead of "robysue1". The link is Average, Median, 95% numbers: A guide to those who don't remember their introductory stats
So you were leaking at a rate of 30 L/min or more for 5% of the night. Mr. Green Smily face with his "mask fit is excellent" message shows up whenever the 70% (or maybe it's the 75%) leak rate is less than 24 L/min. So the combination of the two facts says two things are both true:
- For at least 70% of the night your leaks were LESS THAN 24 L/min. And the Remed designers, engineers, and programmers all think that if the 70% leak rate is less than 70%, the efficacy of the your CPAP therapy is not adversely affected.
- For at least 95% of the night your leaks were AT or BELOW 30 L/min. So you had some official Large Leaks and your leak rate was AT or ABOVE 30 L/min for at least 5% of the night.
Yep. All this points to your occasional Large leaks as not being a problem worth worrying about.I do not wake up with irritated eyes or a dry mouth. I only experience dry mouth when I've been sleeping for 7-8 hours and the water tank runs super low. I don't get woken up by air pressure at all nor do I notice it when I do wake up throughout the night. So I guess the seal is good then?
Either of those could actually cause a (short) official Large Leak. And my guess is that on a bad night when the 95% leak number looks like 30 L/min, you may have had your head dip into the pillow for a while without waking you up. And then you moved and the mask resealed.I do sometimes have to briefly lift the mask to scratch my face when it gets itchy (especially my nose due to allergy season). But I've never had a leak while I'm awake. I've woken up with a brief leak or heard one when I dip my head into the pillow but I'm quick to fix it. So perhaps it's actually a small leak that occurs while I'm asleep then.
To put this into perspective: If you have a run time of 7 hours on the machine, 5% of the time is only 21 minutes.
