Help! My hose keeps coming detached

Post by gmonaghan » Sun Sep 08, 2024 12:29 pm

I searched, but didn’t see this topic posted.
I have a Resmed bi-pap machine and my hose keeps detaching. I am constantly taping it together, but this only lasts a short time. Are there any products that I can use to permanently attach the hose? Any links mls to somewhere where I can buy some widget or product that solves this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Which Resmed machine are you using? The AirCurve 10 VPAP or the AirCurve 11 VPAP? It makes a difference.

Also are you using a heated hose? I ask because the "easiest" fix is most likely to get a heated hose that clicks and locks into the unit.

If you are using an AirCure 10 VPAP with an unheated hose, this hose elbow gadget is worth trying, particularly since it's only $6.50. I have one for my AirCurve for when I don't want to use my heated hose. It helps the problem with pulling the hose off the machine.

It also help to have the machine's back facing you when you're in bed.

Where is it coming detached? From the machine or from the mask???? If it's from the mask, there may be a small connector that goes between thr hose and the mask. What specific mask are you using????

Is there a way that I can upload a photo to show exactly the area?

when you respond to this post, scroll down where you'll see "attachments". follow those directions. when you are through, hit the "preview" button to make sure it worked. then hit "submit".

good luck!
