Dreamstation DSX500S11F

My original Dreamstation CPAP machine was recalled and this post is regarding the "new" machine I was given as a replacement. Since receiving the replacement I moved to a new city and had not been to the doctor. Recently I went to a new doctor and was surprised when the doctor's office could not read any data from the machine. The doctor said I was eligible for a new machine from Medicare, and put in a prescription order from Sleep Technologies. When they tried to get approval from Medicare they were told I must prove compliance, so they also tried reading the data on the machine. Unfortunately, after many tries, including forcing data with a modem, they simply could not get any data from the SD card or the machine. Now Medicare is requiring a new sleep study before they will ok a new machine.

The DSX500S11 (my "new" replacement machine) is one which was manufactured in 2017. In searching the internet I find it was not unusual for this machine to have problems storing data. I am not happy I got an old machine, or that now that it's found to be defective I have to have another sleep study before it is replaced. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, what did you do?

Thanks for any information.
