What is the best nasal CPAP mask for not leaking?

What is the best nasal mask for not leaking? I have used a full face mask for over a decade. However, I have recently lost 30 pounds while on Zepbound (a weight loss control medicine; for diabetic patients it's called Mounjaro). My CPAP doctor says it's still unlikely that my sleep apnea will get to a point where I don't need CPAP. However, I'd like to try a nasal mask. I'm hoping that the pressure on the auto-CPA will now be low enough that with a nasal CPAP mask, my mouth doesn't open up. What is nasal CPAP mask that is least likely to leak? From past experience, I know I don't do well will nasal pillows.

Keep in mind that your facial structure may by one in a million, and what fits the majority of people will not necessarily fit you.

You may be lucky and hit gold on the first mask you try. You may also need to go through a number of different masks before you find the one that's right.

cpap.com - and probably other sites - have return options, I don't you if you pay a bit more for that, check.

My only connection to cpap.com is that of a very grateful user of this forum. I live abroad, so I rarely buy there - the cost of delivery is too high. The few time I did buy, they were very good, and when I once received filters that were too thick, they refunded them.

I have about 2 dozen different masks. Still looking for that perfect Mask.
I have a couple favorites, the Sleepweaver 3D which is currently out of stock at the manufacturer and is very sensitive when it comes to adjusting the fit to your face.
The Dream Wisp is my alternat and is much more forgiving.
The Fischer and paycal f31 full face with a chin rest is the only full face mask I have been able to use when I have congestion.
My wife uses a Resmed P30i and does well with it. I could not tolerate any pillows mask.

The Fisher & Paykel Solo Mask is working fairly well for me after many years using ResMed's P10 Pillow Mask. A nice benefit of the Solo Mask is that you can easily change between the nasal version or a pillow version, The both use the same head gear and you only need to change the silicone face piece to switch between types. The pillow version leaks much less than the P10.

I'm "bookmarking" this thread. I haven't tried all of the masks suggested in this thread, but none that I've tried have worked. My main problem is the stability as I sleep on my stomach - the hose would pull the mask one way or another and it would leak, I need something rigid. I have a mask that works perfectly - after I modified it heavily with additional reinforcements, pads and straps - but it hasn't been manufactured in years. It's the only thing that works for me and my 21cm H2O pressures, but I need to figure out something for when I can't repair anymore the three masks I have left.

I can't wear any mask that goes over my nose (super small nose bridge, too many leaks). I was a lifelong mouth breather (snoring every night, dry mouth).

I've tried nearly every mask. Finally settled on the N30i (nasal, nothing IN the nose, more like a silicone mustache). Nothing over my bridge or mouth.
I like the hose connection on the top of my head; lots of swivel, no pulling.

I've used it for 6 months now and it's the only one I can wear. Good luck!

I prefer the N-20 "for her" by resmed. I toss and turn quit a bit and
it stays in place it also fits my face better than the other masks I've tried. My pressure is set from 11.6 - 25 but according to the machine screen data is running about 15.8. It tends to go up when I toss onto my back.

I have the Philips Respironics DreamWisp Nasal cushion cpap mask. It works pretty well as long as I'm pretty good about cleaning the cushion. The head piece has the hose coming out of the top.

For me, it was the 1st one I tried and never had an issue and it was comfortable it's a Fisher and Paykel Nova Micro.

First post in a long time, but since my favorite masks haven't been mentioned...for me, the "nasal cradle" masks work well. The cushion for a nasal cradle masks goes under your nose rather than over it. Personally, can't use the popular AirFit N20 because it goes over my nose. But the nasal cradle masks kind of wrap around the bottom of your nose (where your nostrils are :-). They also tend to stay on and leak less for a side sleeper like me.

I've found both the Dreamwear Nasal mask and the Airfit N30 work well for me as a side sleeper. The Dreamwear has more structure to it, so stays in place with side sleeping better. But it's also heavier and has that jet of air out the front of the nasal cushion. The Dreamware also has the tube coming off the top of the mask instead of the front. Some people, including me, like having the tube coming off the top, but that doesn't offset the advantages of the N30 for me. The N30 is very lightweight, and has diffuse, quiet venting. However the straps move some at night (for me), so it takes some getting used to keep the leaks where they should be. These days, after using the N30 for quite a while, my leaks average about 6 - 8, with a occasional high of 10 - 12. I'm okay with those levels, still feel that I'm getting great therapy with that level of leaks

Anyways, good luck on switching from full face to nasal. The lower impact nasal masks are a little easier to live with if you can avoid mouth breathing.

RogerSC, Do you find the straps of the N30 to be problematic? My machine came with the P10 (same straps) and was problematic as it needed to be overly tight to keep it in place. Bought the N30i with the hollow tube, back strap and top connection to be far more secure without cranking the straps.

Now to get rid of my hit and miss stuffy nose that makes pillows and cradles a bit hit and miss.

Initially I had problems with the straps on the N30. After using it for some time, not finding them to be a problem that bothers me anymore :-). Don't feel that they need to be overly tight, although they do need to be a little tight. I have the same situation with the Dreamwear Nasal mask, the straps have to be a little tight for a side sleeper to keep the leaks down. My wife also uses the N30, but she's a back sleeper and is also happy with the mask.

The N30i is also a good nasal mask, but it really wasn't as comfortable as the Dreamwear for me. So it isn't a go-to mask for me.
