Recently I have noticed, regardless of mask, that when I first turn on my AirSense 10, for a few seconds it makes a high pitched noise as pressure is increasing. The pitch rises then suddenly the noise is gone. It is not a mechanical whine, but more of an "air being forced through a really tight space" kind of noise, like a very high pitched fart, or something leaking a bit before sealing. It stops immediately if I pull the mask away and let the pressure drop. It does not return when I snug the mask back on. If I turn the machine off for a few seconds then turn it back on it makes the noise again, though not as loudly or for as long.
I think this is a machine I got in November 2019 so maybe it is just nearing its end of life? Afraid it's going to die in the middle of the night. Wondering if I should stop using it and use another machine. It sounds more like some kind of internal leak than an engine problem to my untrained ear.
