Hi All,
I've just been diagnosed with OSA. I'm going back to the clinic for titration next Tuesday, so I'm doing my homework first.
Some machines, eg the Puritan Bennett 420S and 420E, adjust automatically for altitude. I live in Johannesburg - 6,000 feet above sea level - but will be travelling to Toronto often - 400 feet above sea level. Given that, does it make sense to get a machine that adjusts automatically, or is it just a gimmick? I would have thought that if the pressure is regulated, altitude wouldn't make any difference.
Also, it seems that something like the Nasal-Aire delivery system from InnoMed would be more comfortable than masks.
Any thoughts?

Hi Mike,
I would spend a few extra bucks and get auto altitude adjustment. That way you don't have to fool with setting it everytime you move from one location to another. I think the cost is negligible.
Some people really like the Nasal Aire and some people don't. I think you could say that about any interface. You just have to keep experimenting till you find your mate, so to speak.
Regareds,
